Changes V Crows

Yes, you only need to look at last night's NRL result where the Bunnies took the cellar dwelling B
They would probably love nothing more than to knock us out of the top 4.

The only thing they may want to see more is Port getting bashed in the GF or not making it.....hence they need to roll over and let us finish 3rd and we can accommodate their desire to see the Kochies get steamrolled.

More than a bit Dave and Josh struggle to run out of sight on a dark night
Same can be said for the Crows ins as well with Tex and Talia. Crows have a very top heavy forward line, MC has taken advantage of this getting some crucial match fitness into seasoned vets before finals

Markov stiff but plenty of others providing run down back. A victim of team balance especially with two key talls going out.

Early poser. Bolton, Lynch and Prestia potentiall;y back in week 1 of finals. Who makes way? Chol? Ross?.......

For those saying Markov was stiff - who would he have stayed in for? We only play 7 defenders so it would need to be for one of them.

ok with the changes, but in the predicted wet, i'm not totally sold ..

Interesting, I wondered who would make way for dave ,

So if we look at the backline from last years gf , it looks like it’s going to be balta in for broad

Ross, Caddy and Aarts?

Markov was playing back. No way he produces more than Ross as a midfielder. Caddy likely being given match fitness for a tilt at finals. And Aarts has been pretty good with his defensive pressure in the forward line. Markov isn't proven at that role. Markov unlucky but he is depth when everyone is fit.

I can see the issues with Caddy's speed. But this guy is as tough as they come, provides genuine support for Jack and will have a go at anyone who starts any trouble. Top finals performer. I would be looking for a Townsend type role from Josh while Tommy recovers.

What a powerful side. With no Lynch Soldo Prestia still looks like it can... OK won't say it.

Caddy is made for contested finals and is dangerous near goals, gives us flexibility when chol rucks.

Leg is very stiff. Obviously Hardwick doesn’t rate him as I feel he has never been given the opportunity that some others have been given despite their sustained *smile* performances.
Bit harsh on Dimma, I believe he does rate him otherwise he would not have played many games recently especially against good sides. With Astbury coming back there's just not a spot for him in the backline or wings. We know Rioli's not been in great form but they won't put Markov in there just before finals. Caddy is a proven finals player and offers a lot of strength and flexibility and since he's coming back from injury he'll need a game before finals. Oleg is just stiff to be pushed back to an emergency but we can't field 23 players.

Pressure is on several players to perform if they want to be part of the finals push. We have half a dozen surplus players who are capable of playing a part. Markov has been very unlucky this week. The team for the first final may well be an outcome of the Adelaide game. If Dion, Shai and Tommy come back, there will be some very unlucky players who miss out.

Yep, I was responding to a question about who would make way for Bolton, Prestia and Lynch come finals time. Not sure who Markov would replace from our back 7 (I suspect no one).

Dimma has shown a tendency to not play guys out of position unless they have undergone a "retooling" phase (ala Caddy and Bolton).
