Changes V Crows

Adelaide oval is not a happy hunting ground for us. Add our growing injury list and we are no certainty.

It will be a tough hard game. We will have players who will not be game fit. I'm nervous - am I negative or realistic?

Cautious

Are people seriously worried about this game? Not many sides win 4 in a row these days, and no spooners do. They've beaten insipid Hawthorn, GWS and Carlton efforts. Now they're playing the best team in the league, peaking for a premiership tilt. We'll slap em.

A few Things:
  • If we can't beat Adelaide we don't deserve a top 4 spot.
  • Adelaide will not want to come last, they haven't done it before, why would you want to be in the first Adelaide team to come last?
  • Competition for places in our senior team is intense, players will really want to show they deserve their spot as there are others biting at their heels

This will not be a walk in the park but we should win, our fate is entirely in our own hands.

DS

I can understand the nervous thoughts that some people have....yes, it’s a danger game, it’s in Adelaide, they have improved a touch over the past month, they would love to beat us etc.....However, seriously, we are a comfortable 10 goal better side , we’ve had a good break, there will be guys busting a gut to ensure they secure a spot in the 22 for finals, but most of all......the Crows will be “brave” but will throw the game due to Norf losing to the Eagles....the number 1 pick is on the line

100% spot on. I for one can't understand why people are worried. We are a better side. Top 4 is on the line. Crows also have a lot on the line Pick No 1 ;) they ain't giving that up to North along with Pick 1 in the PSD and Rookie Draft.

Do people think pick 1 is that different to pick 2? Maybe we could ask the Dee's?

It's like people are still stuck in 87. This will be nice attacking practice run on AO just in case we end up there for a final. Which we won't. Us by plenty.

Yes I agree.
I sense a true mauling ala Freo pre 2017 finals coming up.

Our team will enjoy the travel - the 2020 version is professional, skilled and knows what to do - to throw this game means we may get to play a pies team with their good players back.

Nah, 5 or 6 years ago it was a game we could trip on, not now with top 4 on the line.

We're playing for a top 4 spot. Crows, the wooden spooners and a club accepting the need for a full rebuild, have an incentive to lose.

It will be a bruise free affair where we win by 4 or 5 goals.

Hope so.
Double chance on the line.
Cant afford a lacklustre 2 quarters like we did against Fremantle against the Crows at their deck with 30k supporters ‘baying for 2017 blood’.
I doubt they will throw the game.
Pick 1-2 not much difference but finishing last in their history is.
Expect a tough game.

Disagree. Pick 1 is not just about the player, it's the hype, advertising, media attention etc of being Pick 1. Feel good story for the fans who have had a crap year.

Crows want Pick 1. The only question is do they pick Ugle-Hagen and watch the bid get matched by the Doggies, or do they bestow Pick 1 on a player that will go to the Crows

Tex Walker will be selected, (yay!), was rested last week so he could put celebrations in place for when he kicks the 1 goal required to break Tony Modra's all time Adelaide goal kicking record.

Good chance Noah/Grimesy/DTLD and Vlossy won't let that happen.

We will find out Baloo in the way the Crows approach the game and select their team.
Intentions will be known.

If we drop this game we don’t deserve to be premiers , simple as that ,

They know what’s at stake , they will front up

Not much different when you look at all the hits and misses over the years. How do they decide this year with no U18 competitions?

Not much but the fact that the club has the first pick in all 3 drafts ND, PSD, and Rookie draft gives that extra edge if both clubs are eyeing out a player or 2.
Regardless I don't see this as a danger game, there's a reason why we are top 4 and they are bottom. Not saying they won't take it up to us but we have top 4 on the line and we will be ready and Dimma has pretty much said that. We won't be taking them lightly.
