Changes V Brisbane

He did miss a game in round 7 with 'soreness'. Might just be a load management thing. Time will tell.

Meatball with a calf of all things. Don't share your hope unfortunately.

Very rare for anyone (especially him) to only miss one with anything in that area.

Fully expecting him to miss multiple games.

Yep and considering his soft tissue history I would expect at least a 3 week lay off.

In previous years Prestia missing would be an almost terminal blow, but with our mid depth this shouldn't be such an issue.

Trading in Taranto and Hopper was absolutely the right call.

Freshening up for finals
Given our remaining games we will be very lucky to make finals this year.
The 2 point draw has not helped either.
Of the bottom teams we only get to play West Coast and North.
All the other games are tough.

I reckon it is this (y). I think maybe privately they concede this is going to be pretty tough to win so its a good time for Prestia to get a couple of weeks rest for the finals push.

Jack doesn’t have a goodish matchup or another position, and we can’t afford to allow Harris Andrews to dominate him.

Won’t happen but,
In Banks, Hopper and Pickett.
Out Ralphsmith sub, Prestia injured, Riewoldt and Rioli M omitted.

B Vlastuin Balta Rioli D (Cameron)*
HB Grimes Broad Short
C McIntosh Bolton Ross
HF Baker Pickett Martin
F Clarke Miller (Andrews)* Ryan
R Nankervis Taranto Cotchin (Neale)*
I/C Banks Graham Hopper Young.
Sub Rioli M or Cumberland if available, otherwise Sonsie.
* Heavy tag roles on these players.

Maybe. Could be reading too much into it but other calf injuries have been listed as medium term. This is only listed as short term.
That's a surprise given his history as you say.
Anyway time will tell.

Well if he injured it againt the Aints he's missed more than a week. Will be three weeks if he plays round 17 so not impossible.

Not confident myself TF.

0/8 those teams that have come off a bye.

We are slow starters ( we have been ) then other games fast out the blocks.

Our games have been close against the Lions up at the Gabba.

The venue should hold no fear for us.

Last years loss in a final there is still raw.

Can’t allow Harris Andrews to do as he wishes and not bomb the ball but lower the eyes going I50.

I wonder what the approach with Neale will be.

Also Hipwood & Daniher long large as genuine tall forwards.

Jack out. Please!

Jack out. Please!
How does he beat HA? Where can he play to avoid HA?
He has not scored in 3 or 4 of his most recent 7 games and HA is also AA and is taller, faster and in great form.

Don't think Jack will be left out but will be interested to see how Minie deals with the match-up problem.

Hipwood in the little I've watched playing at a higher level than before. Stronger at the ball / less playing for frees / getting pushed off it - maybe he worked on his core in the off season. Probably Balta on him.

Daniher still squibbing it and looking for the easy ones. Tylar Young for me just to keep him honest and play role/lockdown/stand next to him and should be enough..

Grimes still gets Cameron. Has the wood on him other than when he plays for and gets soft frees.
