Changes V Brisbane

I think ankle has a bit of a point.
If our mids weren't filling the void & kicking goals (unusual) then the forward line has been our weakness.
Jack is doing his best & still contributing where he can cause he's a wily ol dog but let's be honest here, he's clearly not the player he was. Apart from the bag of 5 against the Giant$ he's having trouble kicking goals now.
It's a real shame we don't seem to have a viable alternative to the champ. Bradtke & Bauer were recruited for exactly times like this but aren't preferred over a 35 yr old who's output is moderate now. That could really hurt us towards the back end with JR on the wrong side of the curve..

As it has been every time someone had suggested dropping Jack, the suggestion is ludicrous.

We are still trying to find people to plug holes in the forward line, even within the 22. We have exactly one (uninjured) key forward on our list, and it's Jack.

If you really want to see Ryan triple teamed, go for it.

He's not what he was.

He's still our best.

Good news is, every time the discussion happens, he goes on to kick a few bags, so thanks all for that.

This. Andrews will play on Smapson or Miller and show them no respect. We need to exploit this.
Agree. Attack through Andrews’ man as much as possible. Our key forward targets also need to separate as much as possible - avoid 2nd & 3rd man up contests as much as possible. Dump kick to top of goal square only to be used as last resort - too easy to defend.

Ryan would have a 10cm height advantage over Payne and Miller would have a 10cm heigh advantage over Payne.
Payne is having a good year. Has markedly improved his intercept game and reading of the play. He is 197cm 104kg lump of a lad (9 cm smaller than Ryan, & 1 cm smaller than Miller). If he gets Ryan he will outmuscle him regularly.

What we really need is for Ryan or Miller to step up and have a real physical presence as a second ruck or in the forward half. Hold their ground in the one on one contests..

Jack is still going pretty well. He is only one goal behind Amiss from the Dockers for the season who is being talked about as a possible rising star winner.

My post was meant to say that Miller is 10cm taller than Starcevich who would go to the 3rd KPF
