Changes V Brisbane

Hipwood in the little I've watched playing at a higher level than before. Stronger at the ball / less playing for frees / getting pushed off it - maybe he worked on his core in the off season. Probably Balta on him.

Daniher still squibbing it and looking for the easy ones. Tylar Young for me just to keep him honest and play role/lockdown/stand next to him and should be enough..

Grimes still gets Cameron. Has the wood on him other than when he plays for and gets soft frees.
Agree, RealElation.

I think we are finally seeing in Hipwood why the club bid for him all those drafts ago.
Talk about a slow burn.

I will now speak in great detail about Daniher.
Joe is a twat.

Optimus to lock down on Harley Charlie.
Hopefully he can keep the bike in the garage and out of view.

The boys should still be seething after last year's cheating robbery Final.

Go Tiges!

How does he beat HA? Where can he play to avoid HA?
He has not scored in 3 or 4 of his most recent 7 games and HA is also AA and is taller, faster and in great form.

Don't think Jack will be left out but will be interested to see how Minie deals with the match-up problem.
Andrews should go to Ryan with Starcevich or Payne going to Jack.

I thought Rioli took Cameron last time and had a picnic with him. Think I'd prefer to stick with that.

Yep and considering his soft tissue history I would expect at least a 3 week lay off.
And losing more fitness along with it. Makes you wonder if it's old scartissue or at the scartissue/muscle junction? Hard to believe the management angle for such a strong opponent. Getting hard for him to string multiple games together unfortunately.

Cameron is in very good form. Grimes has been great in the past, but not as great this year. Rioli may be the better bet.

If Andrews goes to Jack, that works in our favour IMO. Jack is smart enough to take Andrew to benign positions to help keep him away from Ryan and Miller. Ryan would have a 10cm height advantage over Payne and Miller would have a 10cm heigh advantage over Payne.

I think more likely Andrews goes to Ryan and they hope he can outsmart Ryan and sag off.

Rioli will get burnt the other way when we turn it over. Cameron way too good at sneaking out the back.

Take your point - but depends how much speed Grimes has lost as he ages slowly like a nice Cab Sav. Otherwise he nullifies him in the air and at ground level.

Put it this way if we dropped Jack old man Fagan would pull out a pipe and smoke it.

Its not a match up Mini has to worry about. Its Fagans problem.

Besides Andrews wont line up on Jack. So its a non-issue regardless.

This. Andrews will play on Smapson or Miller and show them no respect. We need to exploit this.

I hope you are right but I'm not confident. If he goes to Jack he will run off and do what he likes. If he goes to Ryan better for us as you say. Ball in dispute on the ground is our best chance. Dusty, Pickett, Short, Baker, Bolton, Taranto and probably Clarke and Miller to kick a winning score.

Harris Pinocchio Andrews is the most overrated spud in the competition imo. He's a one trick pony. If he doesn't mark it he's an utter liability. He's had a crap year yet again except for a few exceptions when the ball has been kicked down his throat time after time. If we are smart with our entries he will be the least of our problems.

. its our one eyed household belief, jack, hero that he was, has not been worthy for some time

. our 2nd tall fwd the last 8 games has kicked 10goals (5 v giants)
. but its not just the goals drying up.....he can't physically pressure chase, jump, spoil, pack mark, or react quick enough anymore...the tackle numbers are just stoppage, ball up rewards
. a well timed lead, a clever tap & a quality field kick or two doesnt cut it
. the contested grd & air turnovers, missed opportunities & overlap runoffs are devastating for players
downfield

. it's the antithesis of our team ethic...everyone else is busting a gut
. his auto selection status a mystery to tragics i know

-give miller &/ mabs a go
. how can fwd ball retention & potential not improve?

queue the outrage

Mabs? You’d rather we play a guy who’s not even on our list over Jack?

You'd better open the other eye, Mabs ain't on our list anymore. Left nearly 2 years ago. ;)
