Stkilda rucks will stretch us. We better come with a plan, because saints will test us with their speed of ball movement and defensive pressure.
I agree. Also, do we need 3 talls? Match their tall backs, Or a defensive tall backman turned into a forward? Its the rucks we need to cover first, then stop their backmen from creating opening for them.
Simply going on tonight's form, it seems the Sainters will be our opponents.
So, on our form last night and watching the Saints, we will have to be super fit and switched on to win this game.
They look quite a classy team and Ryder is starring in the ruck.

Can we buy a ruckman for next week. Ryder going to have an absolute field day if we persist with Chol and Nank. Nank will fight for a half but his injury catching up to him and Chol will be a phantom.

I am really against taking Balta out of defence.
They need to sort out the backline too as it isn't clicking at the moment.
So, against what I would like to see, I think we have to seriously consider Balta as the second ruck.

Long must get 2 weeks, he has history. Ryder if out, will be a bonus for us. we need to stop their running backs so do we play 3 talls?

I know we are all a bit shitty about last night but what gets me is that we missed our chance to trim the fat by cutting chol and playing the fellas who have battled hard over those who have been sub par. When you take out Ross and markov for purely structural reasons, you reward the bad form form of our small forwards (and chol). I’ve been cut down a couple of times suggesting George has to go. At some point we have to back the players who and busting their gut and buying into the team ethos over structure. Sure, we can’t play 12 inside mids, but we can shuffle the magnets a bit more mindfully. We can’t keep waiting for certain players to hit form when they haven’t all year. Time to make some hard calls or we are out next week.

Practice match ( whatever you call them ) against the Cats and Broad & Caddy. So there is two to come in with Lynch . Maybe another runner or mid.
George has had a decent year. Doesn't deserve to be dropped. One player that's been all year except for one or two cameos where he looked like coming back to his best is Lambert. Hasn't had a good year. Wasn't great last night.
