Changes for Round 3.

Assuming none of the missing best are still unavailable the RCD should be considered as he got a good review in the 2nds today so if Dow doesn't come up then he is a logical replacement.
However, still too early to pick the team until we have proper status on recoveries

sorry but aarts should only be replacing dow in the 2's. If Dow's not fit, hopefully they bring in Stack or Sonsie.
clearly i was joking. but i am not sure it is a coincidence our pressure really ramped up after Dusty, Jack and Aarts were replaced by Parker, KMac and Dow.

it is going to be a challenge to get the balance right when Jack and Dusty are right to return.

Out FAarts
In any one of these Stack, RCD, Sonsie, MRJ, Mansell
i wouldnt think Stack or Sonsie, or probably even RCD or MRJ should be missing out on playing in the twos to potentially sit in the green vest for the entire AFL game. those guys probably need game time at this point.

From what I saw in the VFL game yesterday (second half only) Stack would be unlikely to be promoted next week. Went off with a sore shoulder/elbow early in 3rd and played last quarter as a deep forward with little impact. RCD was another that did nothing to promote his cause. of the kids that played, Sonsie has poise and a little bit of class, may be a chance. Liked the look of Clarke also, may need a bit longer. Brown looked good defensively as did Mansell. Biggie Nguyon showed quite a bit if we need any other tall defenders.

Hopefully Grimes, Martin & Reiwoldt are ins - outs Miller (was ok), Dow (inj) and maybe McIntosh (didn't look right yesterday). Would love to promote Sonsie for Aarts.

Grimes to come in if fit. 10days between round 1 and 2 and he had general soreness... odd.

Dow?- TBA

In: Grimes for Miller (who did "ok").

Watched about 80% of the VFL stream. No listed player really stood out for a recall.

If Prestia is thereabouts then he didn't do a hammy. Maybe just a slight strain.

I was wondering if Grimes soreness was mostly related to the finger operation.

Why would you drop Soldo St.K?

I think if Riewoldt comes back we'll be too tall. The balance between tall and small looked a lot better yesterday than it did in round 1. The extra runner allowed us to put more pressure on the ball and also meant we were able to quickly get back to flood the backline.

out: dow (inj), ross

in: Stack or The Sons, whoever fittest out of Grimes, Jack, Dion

On the proviso, the 3 come in,

Ins: Grimes, Jack, Prestia
Outs: Miller, Dow (inj), Ross

Really liked Dow's game and if he is fit to play I still think he will give way for Prestia, I personally would have Castagna out based on his performance but can't see that happening, so it's Dow as the med sub if fit and out if injured.

Could be too soon for Dusty to return. I'm tipping the recent passing of Marsh and Warnie has triggered thoughts of missing his dad and him being alone in NZ when he died. Takes a while to get over that. Prestia and Jack both unavailable. Grimes should be over his soreness unless that rumoured tackle affected his shoulder? Is Dow definitely out? Macintosh has pulled up with a calf and he was off training for few weeks with a calf strain so is it the same leg? Even if it's the other leg he'll need a couple of weeks at least if it's a strain. But is it just a bruised calf?
OUT: Miller, McIntosh; IN: Grimes, (one of RCD, Mansell, Stack).
