Changes against Collingwood.

If Tarrant does come back who goes out? Can’t see MC wanting to change from Balta, Gibcus, Grimes, Vlas, Broad and Rioli
The answer is that it won’t be a defender. It would mean Balta went forward and a forward or midfielder goes out.

Personally I'd keep Balta back for now and that means Tarrant stays out

Its great that we have some real selection dilemna's - good sign!
Thought the Short experiment was a huge plus last week. Having him kicking the ball into forward 50 is a huge plus and hope this continues. I think Balta stays back for now as I think his presence up forward stuffs up the Riewoldt, Lynch dynamic. Stack and Rioli gave us a different and better feel up forward but not sure both survive. Cotchin, Martin and Pickett are all certain ins if fit. Pickett would probably have been leading our b&f before injured, so not sure how there is even a debate about his inclusion. Dow and Tarrant may also be available. Don't see either being selected this week. Tarrant will play games but not against the shorter Pies in my opinion. Outs: Prestia (assume he misses a couple), RCD (I agree he needs some continuity but he will get other opportunities), Ross and Edwards or Stack become the sub (I prefer Edwards).

For a bloke that makes a lot of sense almost all the time the george hate is hard to underastand. He has played an important role in all ou=r flags. Important. And you continue to denigrate him. Its baffling really. After one game you essentially nominate MRJ as an upgrade? So harsh on george.

Townsend played a critical role in 2017 too.

Not sure we win it without him. In fact, we don't.

Caddy was critical in his flags.

Both could be in the side if we'd wanted them to be.

So going by this Prestia is doubtful. However Martin, Pickett and Dow all available for selection.

Out: Prestia RCD Stack Soldo
In: Martin Cotchin Pickett Tarrant

BTW These changes is what I think the MC will do. Doesn’t mean I agree with them.

No idea what the match committee will do but I would definitely give MJ and Stack combo another go this week

We just looked so much be up forward from a pressure point of view

Need to see how they go against a real side not one that believes they can not win

The Pickett talk interests me after Julius said that Pickett himself told him he wasn’t right t go this week.

in: Dusty Cotch. Pickett?

out: Prestia Stack (rather him stay). Edwards? (managed)

I see where you are coming from but experience is needed for this very important game.
No shot at you goldmember.
But I'm trying to figure out the importance of this game.
Trent will keep playing for the year then probably retire. This is just an opinion, but he has never come out and said he wants to make games records and play till he is 40 you know so I'm guessing.
We will honour Trent the right way.
My take on the importance factor is to get games into our next team.
The best part of last week's game for me was the Team. They worked together and did it for a whole game. I loved it. New and old.
Anyway my hope is that we say, hey boys this is where we want to be you did it last week let's keep working on it.
Our future lies in the development we give to tier 2 players this year. Give em Collingwood and enjoy the ride.

HR those times will come for the 2nd tier players I am sure but given the vast significance of this game we need to muster those that have been there and done that.A 7-4 win loss ratio at the half way mark will send shivers through the comp.
