Nice one, Ed.

You reckon anyone with RFC membership gets discounted Ink?
If that's true he would be the 2nd Tiger to go down that path. Cheerio to The Push Up King
Are we sure Pudh Up's tattoo joint doesn't serve another purpose

The RFC website has his speech to the boys and an interview afterward, its clear that his form was getting into his head or vice versa so if leaving gives him a happier life so be it.

Wow - what a shock.
I've been a critic these last couple of seasons and didn't see him getting many games at all this year - but he always tried his best.
And when he played at his best - it was genuinely exciting and he thoroughly deserved all the success - and especially the flags.
A great Tiger - and will never be forgotten.
All the best for the next part of your life George.

Hopper/Taranto into midfield. Dusty/Cotch forward line. MoJu/Cumberland emerging.

Probably had an impact.

Gee I hate seeing my premiership heroes retire

You selfish bastard George. Bloody left me in the lurch. :giggle:
No one could doubt his commitment and endeavour to the cause. Skill set often frustrated. But 3 premierships is a great haul for the luckiest footballer ever.
Good luck for your future endeavours. Just very odd timing

Wonder if he saw the writing on the wall.
Apart from his current injury, he was competing with MJR, Cumberland, Clarke, and Campbell for those forward spots.
Not to mention Martin, Hopper, Cotchin and Bolton rotating forward.
Was hard to see him being a constant against those players.
Thanks for the good memories though Jason and all the best in your retirement

Bloody hell George, great speech.

Good to see a lot of the retired players and mates join his day.

A player with faults but who kept trying and now leaves a triple premiership player.

Go well into the future young man.

He's done a Griffins ................................ snatching it after the list lodgments are done and dusted til mid season.

Hopefully it has the same ending as 2017 after Griffins jumped ship.

Would've been handy had he come to this decision a fortnite ago.

Maybe the club knew George was looking to let go of the rope and was shitt testing Narkle to see if he had the stones to stay on in the VFL............................................ He didnt.

played 92 of possible 95 between 17 & 20
A very durable player to be honest especially when considering the role he played., yet still a Frustratingly Outrageous player.

Entertaining was George for all fans not just Tigers, gotta give him that, always had you on the edge of your seat.

He busted his arse for the RFC to play in 3 flags in one of the greatest eras in club history and AFL history.

Kudos George.

Well said T nice sentiments.

This decision wasn't made over the weekend.
Hardwick must've told George he will not be a regular and that for a bloke that has won 3 flags hard to take.
He couldve went to Stkilda and played another 5 yrs.
Bur he stayed and walked on his own.
The 46 will be a number I will remember for a very long time.
Why did he change to 11? Everything went to shitt after that swap.

Pretty disappointing he didn’t do this before being able to select someone else, but also good on him for knowing when to call it.

Really mixed feelings, sad to see him go and happy he has done what is right for himself.

Reckon people suggesting he was told he wouldn't be playing much are way off, players don't retire because of that. Someone can do an ACL next week and the landscape changes instantly.

He seems like a different cat and my guess is the game doesn't quite fit him anymore, maybe it never did and he just knows himself better now.

One thing I am sure of though is he is a much better footballer than he gets credit for and we were lucky to have him.
