can we beat the Freakmantle Shockers ?

Two more reasons to be optimistic

We do well in round 10

Johnson at freo is having a 200 game celebration.
He heard the Tigerland song after his first game.
Let's make sure he hears it again tonight.

Season defining game #4 :)

IF the tigers of late can come out, and can nullify the ball movers (not just Fyfe) and we can rove to 70 tap outs from Sanilands... may just maybe the red eye back will enjoyable with 4pts in the bag.

No player predictions - they always back fire on me. Entire team (and caching) effort needed to well and truly get Punt Road rumbling. We talk about the last stage, the on field success, well tonight is perfect to show the prime time Friday night audience we have matured, arrived. And dare I say demand respect because that always seems to blow up in our faces too.

Roll on 8pm!

earlier this week I thought we were the smallest of smokeys, but as the week has gone on, reality has hit and reckon we're no chance... especially after hearing Vickery is back. tonight is more really about protecting our percentage.

Weather looks fine tonight.

Probably helps us because they played in the wet last week. They had a tough one and if we keep them running, they might have a few niggles that surface late in the 3rd.
I've noticed we don't dominate third quarters at all, but break games in the fourth.
We need to be in front at half time.

Vlastuin to Ballantyne - rag doll him
Houli to Walters.
Rance to pav
Chaplin to Clarke
Grimes to Taberner
batch to Mayne - rough him up.

Fwd line
They can match Jack for height with old McPharlin.
Enjoy the chase!

Johnson can choose between Ty and griffiths but gives up 5cm.
They might need Taberner to go to the other one.
That leaves them with Pavlich and Clarke up forward.

Id like a second Shane edwards, but we only have one. He can start small forward front and square.

Morris and Martin will be good value to watch in the fwd line too.

Mids

Sandi v Maric
Cotch v Fyfe
Miles v Neale
Grigg v Mundy
Menadue v Barlow
B Elle v d Pearce
Mcintosh v Sheridan

Should be an entertaining game

Re: Player by player we are better than Fremantle,

Don't you just love a good in depth comparative list analysis. ::)

Re: Player by player we are better than Fremantle,

What happens if the unthinkable happens and we lose?

It'll be Beavis' fault for not playing Beanie

Hunt on Balla for me.
Houli - Walters
Floss - Mayne
Batch - Taberner
Rance - Pav
Chaplin - Clarke
Grimey to float & switch and keep an eye out for Fyfe drifting forward.

One of the more pessimistic boysfromtheG posts.

I reckon Walters wold be to strong in the air for Houli. Grimes to Walters.

yep, we can win.

we do well over there and we have a number of prime movers in form.

plus - our back six are playing their best footy.
