Callum Coleman-Judas - extricate yourself to Nth Ballarat, you git

That's not the priority now and can come with time - he'll only turn 19 this week (just checked the stats).

I disagree, snakiness cant be taught, but sounds like he might have it.

for me personally, snakiness is second only in height in importance in a ruckman.

but I admit, I am a ruckophile with a fairly old fashioned view of their role.

From the VFL Report:

Callum Coleman-Jones

15 disposals, 35 hit-outs, four clearances and seven tackles

“Played in the ruck, with (Ivan) Soldo a late withdrawal. It was a good opportunity for him, he had 35 hit-outs, which is pleasing. He competed well around the ground, and had 15 disposals and shows that the future’s bright for him in that role.”

For someone who is still relatively inexperienced he seems to have play ruck well. Good to hear that we have a potentially good ruckman in the background

Spot on Easy.

They need c u next Tuesday about them.

That’s why we love Nank.

CCJ was our ruck today at VFL level and thought he did quite well.
Surprised at his skills at ground level. Knew he could mark, but for a big kid and that tall I saw him pick up a couple around the bootlaces in quite a tidy fashion. Not under AFL pressure, but he did OK to pick up and handball to a teammate. Quite promising for a 19yo.

Just take best available I reckon.

I wouldn't mind some bigger bodied miss to go against a Port Adelaide type midfield.

Spot on. He made two steals in fifteen seconds at shin height in packs, T_G. Freak. Very immature but glimpses of genius. Has no tank at this stage. His opponent can blow him up. (Draper.)

Soldo returning gives him the opportunity to rest after a heavier workload than they wanted for him.

Timely that CJ gets that rest too after having to take the number 1 rucking duties last week against the 206cm, 110kg Goliath in Braydon Preuss who rucks to hurt. I was surprised he was given that responsibility when Soldo was playing but spent 60% of the time TRYING to play full forward, (which by my observations he has been hopeless at).

Not knocking CuJo who by reports is tracking better than hoped.
And i've taken a quote from Bully completely from another thread...but with respect

Whats the thought about a contested mid like worpel?
Built a strong season in the reserves, and made a super debut in the vfa this week.

Worpel sure to be Rising Star this week, 27 touches, 12 contested, 92% accuracy, 68% game time.

Last november i wouldve swapped cujo with worpel.
Who would now?
