Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Is really struggling to have an impact. Doesn't seem his sparkling self.
Probably wouldn't be a disaster to give him a spell in the twos, but who comes in as his replacement?

Was good last week after a slow start. Really slow start again this week but worked into it. Not playing as well as he has though.

Needs a spell in the 2s to regain some form and confidence, regardless of who we have to promote

Obviously can't do that regardless of who we have to promote. Few others I'd have out before Higgins.

Too much midfield time. Plonk him solely in the forward line for a bit of time.
Spot on. Is a forward not a midfielder from his displays so far.

Oh the guy was going to be a star a great pick the 2nd year blues have got hold of him.
Where is his up side what are his standout traits?
I like hike but what has has he to offer?

I’m seeing him a bit different to others , thought he was poor last night, however I think his forms been fairly good as a midfield/forward , before last night was averaging 19 touches ( 7 contested) and a goal a game, not bad for a kid who’s played less then 30 games.

This.

2nd year blues are real and third last year in the rising star was real.

This year you have a second year player as a permanent mid rotation. Tough gig to impose yourself on a game particularly given our injuries where you therefore get better players as your opponent.

Going to be a grind of a year for the Higlet. Has to happen though.

last year played like a kid living his dream and having the time of his life ,

This year looks flat .

Did no-one else see him roll his ankle and have trouble running? He kept looking at the bench but must have gotten the 'sorry, you can't come off' look back.

Maybe too many jokes during the off season.

Literally had a career high disposal count two weeks ago. Had a down night like a lot of other. He’s fine.

Even with Cotchin fit and playing and Martin on top of his game we still needed another midfielder.

Higgins is just at 26 games and currently being asked to fill a main midfield job and without Cotchin is getting more attention from the opposition.

Going back to the VFL should allow him to get his hands on the ball and get his run going but he will not learn to deal with the extra attention at AFL level.

I think he is going ok and should stay in with a long term view

It was noted.

its funny. 3 pages ago this thread is filled with comments about how well he played against the Dees, noting his 25 disposals. since last night the thread is about how Higgins hasnt played a good game all year.
