Some very harsh critics in here. Easy to forget he's a 2nd year player.

Just had 25 touches, 6 marks and 5 tackles.

very charitable there st kev, towards the critics I mean. agree 100%

25 touches and 6 marks is a good game in most books.

He's one of those guys that gets better as the season goes on too IMO.

Even on the telly I saw plenty of great work that went unnoticed. Keeps his teammates in it if he can't get it himself. Great game.

Some of us watch different games I'm sure. Had a ripper game. Did alot of the hard inside work and shot off some great handballs. Often seems to have a lot of time. Was integral part of our win.

The mob of players we have grabbed post premiership is remarkable.

The post '17 kids - higlet, stackman, JrOss and bakes had 85 disposals last night and i reckon 80 of em were good ones.

Extraordinary

Scary good how well these kids play the game and even more so how seamlessly they have slotted into the team. They're not hovering around out on the fringes hoping a senior player will slip them a cheapie to make them feel involved. Young Turks are standing up n strutting their stuff, demanding their share of game.

Potential aside, right now he's a bit of a safe, supercoach stat-padder. Doesn't make many mistakes, but doesn't take the riskier options.

Watching the replay he was better then I first thought, I thought he was actually pretty good, seem to get a lot of footy across the chf line, a lot of our forward attacks went through him

Could captain the club. Premiership are built.on good ordinary players. I think he's better than that. Heart on sleeve and.doesnt die wondering. All you.can.ask!!

The stand alone VFL team has a lot to do with it I reckon. same team rules same game style.

Gotta love it, TM, when the young bucks take it up to the senior, more established players.
The keenness, energy and talent they bring to the team is wonderful to see.
All this talented new blood just might be the magic ingredient to keep the older players hungry and motivated.
It's obvious the young players want a taste of success.

Reckon so B.T. The last two games it's almost like we're back to 2017 with the manic pressure n harassment of the opposition. Said on another thread a while ago that we'd gradually lost that edge last year n fudged our way through a few games, hardly saw it at all during our pre season and earliest games. The injuries, then opportunities for hungry youngsters seems to have put a rocket straight up the clackers of the senior brigade n we've got that edge back razor sharp.

And that’s why Georgie boy will not be dropped because he’s the leader of the pack.

Seems to be treading water at the moment. Quite fumbly. It's OK though. Getting used to more midfield minutes and extra attention. Missing a cutting edge but still getting involved.
