Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

He’s not that good. I suspect he will be a very good player but GAblett jnr is rarefied air.
Didn't Jr take a season or two to cement his spot in the team? Higgo's done it in his first season.

don't see why Jack can't become a 'great'. Footy is almost everything to him.
comparing him to others is not the thing, he'll become his own player and he's started already.

I feel like Higlet has a bottomless bag of tricks

And he will thrill us for well over a decade

Played 12 games in his first season but latterhalf in reserves where Geelong reserves won the premiership. Played every game in his 2nd year.

Ran a 15 beep so was ready to go from the outset.

This is where he will become even more handy. The longer stints he can play on the ball allows Cotchin and Martin to play even more manic on the ball knowing that they can move forward or swap to the bench for a breather.

Just a real dedicated kid worked out early that running wasn’t a strength so went and hired a sprint coach to work on endurance and speed. snags is the perfect role model to have at the club work hard and you will be rewarded

And just quietly, still seeing him!

Great to see Puffed Cheeks show commitment before pre-season.

Here's the still shot I've been hoping for!! Puffed cheeks!! I'm still fixated in watching this GOTY 3 times in a row. ;D Classic.

Puffed cheeks and birdman pose...modern day superhero!

Has come back noticeably jacked up! Big little man.

His last 6 weeks was basically as a fwd/mid. Will get better.

Love it, TF. But just quibble with calling it a classic. This was unique. Never done exactly like that before, and may never be done exactly the same again. Freakish reaction time and reflex actions. Super speed and smarts.

Pretty amazing debut season from Higlet.

Early games as a small forward, I wasn't sure I could see "it," and how he might be able to develop his game as a small forward. The glaring deficiency being his set shot kicking from 30m+ :hihi.

However the move to the midfield was quite stunning and despite being a teenager in his rookie season he managed to get better as the season wore on. Clearly has an extremely high football IQ, and seems to read the play beautifully with his ability to be in the right spots. A strong link up player already.

Most contested possessions, goal assists and score involvements of any of 2018's rising star players. We seriously lucked out to win a flag, then have this guy available with our 1st pick. Can't wait to see his 2019.

He is our best young midfield option by a country mile. Was a steal at pick 17.

Instagram photo of Higlett yesterday, training in the off season with his mentor Anthony Phillips. He is fanatical in his pursuit to improve

Last eight weeks he was in the midfield 31% and forward 69%, a huge lift over the first part of the season.

Reckon this year it is 50/50. Year two of Higgins is very much something I'm looking forward to.
