Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Just saw Goal and acceptance speech again.

What a cracker this kid is:

"I'd like to thank the Richmond Football Club and stuff like that!"

I can't stop watching it with pure joy. As for the Scumwood fans, it wasn't a throw....it was a temporary choke!!

Gunna be on the channel seven news tomorra night.

Getting himself some important social standing with a dedicated interview ahead of all the usual super stars. Lead the pack Higlet, have some fun n don't wait for the bland corporate numb speak mob to put in an appearance.

I saw it too. I'm so dedicated to Puffed Cheeks that I put a reminder on the IQ for tomorrow night's news.

Best line I heard from the journo is that he's got more tricks to show this season.

If The Butler was fit do not think he would have made the GF team.

With the way Castagna played the last dozen or so games i reckon the Higlet would've played ahead of him.

None of our guys made the GF team unfortunately.
My view is if Butler was fit, someone like Conca would not have played instead of Higgo.

Do not think premiership hero George would have been dropped for the Prelim but forgot about Conca.

It is possible Conca would have been dropped for the 1st time in at least 4 years, but doubtful.

Great sign that unlike most young players jack higgins actually improved even more has the season went by.

Nice little feature on Higgo on Channel 7 news tonight. Basically saying while most players are enjoying the beach this summer Jack has been doing rigorous sessions with his personal trainer Bohdan Babijczuk. Bohdan reckons Higgo is one of the smartest sportsman he has trained. Apparently the boys return to training tomorrow for a 3km time trial, there will be those that fear it, Higgo won't be one.

Yep. Great to see such a dedicated player Dimma will be proud of.

Did he joke about everyone (media?) expecting him (most players) to be 'off their head' at this time of year?

No argument. Riewoldt by a street.
Higgins was impressive.

Yep

For any body that may be questioning this kids ability or is thinking we are all wanking our chains with tiger glasses on let me just add some facts

His stats are better than Brayshaw , Dow , Cerra , Rayner and most of the first year players from the last 2 years but to take this to another level there extremely close to Dustin Martin stats in their first years and only 3 players i know have averaged 20+ pos a game in their first year Dusty , Treloar & Buckley

https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?playerStatus1=A&tid1=15&playerStatus2=A&tid2=15&type=A&pid1=3316&pid2=6465&fid1=O&fid2=O

I said it at the time he was drafted he's an Ablett Jnr clone. He can get to that level. His drive and footy IQ are off the charts.

I also predicted Dusty would be the best player in the comp if he wanted it enough at the time he was drafted too. This has been proven to be correct.

Blowing own trumpet of course.

Hope I'm right again.

;D

Great segment, Higgo is dedicated no doubt about it.
