Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

Doesn't do anything fancy or spectacular, way to much the blue collar head down arse up worker. Kid will be lucky to get nominated, perhaps only through persistence of honest work load will he earn a compensatory mention. Doubt very much that he'll draw any award votes if he is finally nominated.
But I couldn't give a rats about the rising medal, reckon we've got a genuine kid who'll grow into a persistent constant hard working mid who just gets in and performs week in week out over his career.
Agreed. Probably will never make 'A' grade but a good 'B+' in the mould of Dan Jackson and Shane Tuck.

Jack will be overlooked due to his lack of height, speed, and style of play throughout his career. This suits Richmond just fine.

Well done Higgo. Why so late?

Think his best match with all the snags someone else played pretty well. He’s been ultra consistent without super starring.

He's elite in tight. High IQ to put others into better space. Noticed this closely on Friday night.

10 weeks in the making.
Should've got it after the hawthorn game.
Super inclusion to a premiership team

Once upon a time, tigers winning a rising star nomination would provide 3 or 4 weeks of optimistic posts and a positive glimpse into the future.

These days, it is lucky to get a page of "congrats" and the story is dead by midnight :)

yes. There been a fair few times when I've gone 'hang on, was that Higgy?'
