Bye Bye Jack Higgins!

George to be leysy's Lablett this year.

Has some awesome unique traits to get to another level.

Different player. Higgins won't be able to compete in the air and apply ground pressure like george does. George will take it to another level next year.

Agree. His strength in the air is underestimated. Play almost like a second / third tall. Just needs to take those marks now.

Needs some serious work on the set shot kicking, this will make or break him.

He's very strong in the marking contest, can bring the ball to ground but recover in an instant to lay a tackle.

Lets start a Castagna love in.
I'm usually not prepared to stick my head out but I see something unique to work with.
Dropped 4 overhead marks in the G.F. He flew from all sorts of angles and got his hands on the ball. He holds those marks and look out.
Those players don't grow on trees.
I'm celebrating Festivis this year!!

Just great that one of our strengths just got stronger. Competition for spots in the small forward roles will be hot

More than likely that Geezer n Sausage spend more time through midfield next year and onward.
George looks the ideal chaos forward, he can almost do it all. Leaps for marks, crashes packs, brings ball to ground, chases, tackles, harasses, shares the ball, hits the score board and best of all. When he has a George nearly almost oops moment, it rarely hurts us as he plays deep forward in a high pressure forward arc.
Thinking that Shai, Wombat n Higgins will be working at filling the space left by Geezer n Sausage moving up the ground, they're all still starting out n will need time to develop n grow yet.

The more I look at it, the more I’m convinced we want Higgins pushing high up and doing his work between the arcs and pushing back.

He’s such a smart user of the ball that you want him kicking the ball through the web. Using his smarts as opposed to his pace.

Any player who averages 27 touches at state level should be pushing up the ground, the fact that Higgins won the second most contested possessions indicates he's fully capable of joining the rotations. His impressive tank won't go astray either.

Maybe the plan is to have Higgins step into Prestia’s shoes when he is finished. Become that running machine who links up time and time again. Higgins is certainly tidier by foot and a lot more creative in the fifty. The test will be if he can win as much contested ball. But even tho Jack is seen as the trendy Richmond pressure midget, he can play multiple roles, just like the talls.

I wouldn't call Higgins tidier by foot, His kicking is questionable at times and wouldn't really put it any better than Prestia from what i have seen

But also believe he has a very good chance of being a midfielder rather than just pigeon holed into a small foward role and too much has been made about his height 179cm he is only 1cm shorter than Sam Mitchell and Jack Graham
