Brett Ratten sacked

Simply astounding.

They extended his contract months ago effectively saying they knew they had to rebuild and would try and build a list around their existing coach.

Now they sack their coach just after trade period and after most clubs looking for a new coach have had the pick of the available bunch.

Can't see any logic here at all.

This from a club with such a long history of being woeful, they really need to sort out how to become successful. Their best period in the mid to late 60s to early 70s netted them 1 flag and even when good about 10-15 years ago could not get another. Just hard to understand what they are up to and how it changes their prospects. Looks so much like so much of their history, and their history is not something they really want to repeat.

Get into Max King now.
Son, you don't want to waste your career here. Come join a real club. We'll take care of you. You can rotate with Lynch up forward.

To be announced today: AFL to redo the first round of 2023 with Richmond to now play St Kilda first …..just so we get the bounce game….again

Financially strong clubs get taxed so decisions like this can be made by clubs sucking on the teat.

I know imitation is the greatest form of flattery, and we have been copied by a few clubs the past few years, but someone should tell these clubs ( ess, nth, saints) that the 80’s & 90’s weren’t our greatest years. Sacking coaches every few years didn’t work for us then

And now Saints fans want Lyon back. Just as dumb as their club.

Benny should give them the ‘circle of doom’ PowerPoint presentation.

Reckon the timing is strategic. If you want to sack your likeable and respected coach, do it after the trade period to avoid the risk of a mass player exodus.

Ruthless but clever.

Why do all your posts have question marks at the end of them ? Heh heh heh….

He was on radio this morning saying he’s been involved with the club for some time giving his 2 cents worth and admitted he’d been in some heavy discussions with them the last month.

He said there will most likely be much more change.

Any questions, please direct to [email protected].
