Isn't Cotchin out of contract at yr's end as well ? Has anyone heard anything re his contract status beyond 09 ?

Bowden, Brown and Simmonds if all were to go would give us a massive amount of cash to utilise. I would tell Richo that if he is desperate to play on next year he does so on minimum wages. All that would mean we could easily account for players like Deledio and Cotchin.

Unless the club wants to trade him (which is almost 100% unlikely), he'll stay as will Cotchin. These players will relish the chnace to help rebuild the club in their playing lifetime.

You trade 26+ yo players who won't be around for the successful period, not 22 yo midfielders who will be the core, experienced players for the next tilt. If you do trade players at Lids' age, we will again end up with an age gap, and so then coaches will trade for players and the whole merry-go-round starts again.Tubytiger said:

How do you know it is far from the truth? What happens if he does want to do a Brad Ottens and leave the club?
It staggers me to think anyone would want to trade Deledio.... He is in our top 3 players at the club.... If anyone expects this club to trade marquee players then clearly they no nothing about football....
