You know any footballer with Quad issues THAT has come back from it ?. Lids is gone , well done Tigers great trade .
Before l get get te usual culprits bagging me .I respect Lids ...

As i said a month or two ago, cant believe the medical people had him running the 3km trial day 1 and then allowed to him to complete a somewhat non modified program with his injury history to both calf and achilles...

I've had similar calf and Achilles problems for the last five years as well. Luckily for me the most vigorous thing I do each morning is walk from the office to the coffee shop.

The coffee shop doesn't deliver ?

Strange. I was not only looking forward to watching him play, I was hoping he'd play well.

Hopefully they pop him in cotton wool and still get some good games out of him in the latter stages of the season.
I was too, and still am. Except for when he is playing against us

Needs to be given a good long preparation, just like a horse coming back from a bowed tendon.
They don't need him early in the season, gradually increase his work load and have him ready to go a few weeks before the finals.

There is more to it than that. We are actually collecting the mail each morning. That is an essential duty in any small business.

How do you get back?

He would be doing a lot of lower leg weight exercises like seated calf raises and calf raises. They would be trying to introduce things like box jumps and skipping as well. The other main thing you can do is yoga to improve your flexibility.

I am sure our fitness team would now all of that stuff though so it may just be the wear and tear of AFL football is catching up with him.

Thank you Lids ............... Love you even more now

Cats to take a tumble this year. Enright gone, Jimmy gone, Caddy gone, very little coming through in the midfield. So much depends on Selwood & Danger.

Quad or Calf ?? Whatever !!!
Everyone with a bit of nouse has know that Lids' calf muscle is attached to his heart muscle.

He was known as a pumpkin in his junior days for the Bushstrangers.
