I wonder where they play him, i won't be surprised if it's off the back flank.

Theyve got a good raft of young defenders in Kennedy Haynes Williams and Buntine to go with Heath Shaw.

I can see Deledio along with Stevie J playing roaming half forward complemented by Devon Smith and Greene.

Throw in Cameron and Patton and the slick ball movement through the middle they are going to be a very difficult forward half to contain.

Jesus H some people are espousing sh!t on this thread. Lets look at some undisputed facts. Deledio was:

-Winner of the Kevin Sheehan medal for best player in the U16 National champs
-AFLPA best first year player
-Rising Star winner
-Youngest player to represent Australia in the international rules series
-Dual Jack Dyer medalist
-Dual all Australian
-Vice Captain of the RFC

It doesn't matter what he did...it's what he did not do! When the time came to stand up and lead......he folded...lost his love of the game....blah...blah....blah.

I wanted lids as Captain...with his ACTIONS i now understand now why he was not captain.

Complete disingenuous selfish person. If any remaining 'A graders" have his attitude just get rid of them now.

We want resilient people who want to lead and take us to a premiership.

Lids actions demonstrate the opposite to what we are looking for in players.

To all the naysayers out there, that's the CV of a gun footballer. GWS got their man, RFC got a 1st round pick and Brett got his fresh start. Everyone's a winner. Stop the belly aching and move on.

Any shock and sadness about Deledio leaving RFC will be reconciled when we witness him on the dais after GWS have won the flag in 2017.

I couldn't agree more BT. I loved Lids but this is a really good move for him. He'd have to be odds on to finish his career with at least one premiership medallion now.

Broders, I reckon the trade of Deledio is a win-win situation for all concerned.
We might at least get to see one true Tiger with a premiership medallion swinging around his neck.

I hope the Bankstown Boomers get stuck at Kingsford Smith Airport indefinitely. Could't care less what happens to Deledio. Campbell and Cameron can take their prefabricated team of elite draft stars and stick em where the sun don't shine. Hope they don't play n a Grand Final until 2064

I wouldn't mind Deledio getting some glory after his time with us......he gave good service to the Tiges, but it's going to suck having the AFL's test tube babies dominating for the next few years.....So unfortunately I can't wish him the ultimate success in that team's colours.

Yep. A hollow victory it will be. Dale Morris and a few others that stay at their club to win a flag will be remembered for sticking with their team. We paid Lids handsomely. He played well most of the time. He decided he had had enough, so he left. Ce la vie.

I'm hoping the Greater Waste (of) Space get done for salary cap rorting and get rubbed from a couple of consecutive drafts.

I hope Bretty plays well for his 30 odd games with them.

Yeah right. If any salary cap 'rorting' by GWS is discovered, the AFL will simply 'adjust' the interpretation of the rules to suit the occasion.

Haven't been on for a while, but heard from a very reliable source he wont be at the club 2017.
