Griffin of the dogs played an awesome game against the saints tonight, running the lines and kicking goals on the run.

Lids was No 1 in the same draft, its time for him to take players on, use his pace and kick multiple goals on the run.
About time he played a decent game aswell.
Lids is still infront of Griffen.

I reckon the gap will only get bigger, ckeckside. Our boy is better and yet to bloom.

Turn it up! Griffen lost most of a year to a knee reco.
Any club would be glad to have a young Lids or Griff in the side. They'll both be first class players.

Re: Brett Deledio

I am a big fan of Lids, but I havent see much development in him since arriving at Tigerland. I'd really like to see Lids play more in the centre of the ground.

I am really starting to question our development and coaching staff. We havent been able to delevop too many players. Many have been recruited with high praise and hopes, but fail to deliver.

It makes you wonder if Lids had gone to Hawthorn for example, would be have been a better player ? We must give credit to Hawthorn as they have delevoped some very good players.

Well done to Lids who racked up 30 possies for the first time (i think) against the Hawks. Also laid 5 tackles and kicked a goal.
Good stats :clap

Lids is a good user of the ball...if he's getting the ball 30 times, that's 30 quality touches that will more often than not set up a scoring opportunity.

Becoming a genuine gun.

5 tackles hey? Most pleasing. 8)

Try telling U2Tigers that :hihi, still couldn't find it within himself to give him a vote..

Champion data had him at 136 2nd highest player rating on the ground behind hodge.

30 touches, 5 tackles, no clangers

Was excellent last night....has that touch of class that most others on our list lack. Quick, sure hands and the ability to spot the right option. Hopefully his last three weeks are a sign of better things to come.

His the type of player that you like seeing with the ball. When ever he got the ball I was assure he wouldnt turn it over and that something good was going to happen. He gets forward, kicks goals, marks, tackles, has a cool head under the pump and he is quick. He has taken the next step!

becoming a consistent gun. doing the hard stuff.

Has actually surprised me a bit Harry. Rounding off his game well. When he gets it all going at the same time in a better richmond line up - could do anything really!

Finally shaking off his softness...fantastic to see. Tambling doing much the same. Was worried they would both go down the Bowden path but the signs of the last 3 weeks have been much more positive.

agree, apart from RD 1 when he solely played deep forward and had 13 disposals and 2 goals, the last 5 weeks he has mainly been playing midfield more a combination of stints playing mid/fwd and mid/back. His north game of 27 disposals showed his class, the pies game even though we were woeful lids was one of our best in that loss with 24 disposals, against freo he was right up there again in our best along with pretty much the entire team, the dogs match i had him and richo as our best as i did yesterday against the hawks.

Been getting better and better each week averaging about 24 disposals a match and 5 marks...Also has kicked goals in every match this year bar the pies game.

I couldn't believe watching the replay that Healy said 'Deledio is getting a lot of the ball but isn't really doing much' or words to that effect.

Thank god the brains trust have been playing him on the ball where he belongs.

I can't stand Healy and Frawley. For 2 guys that have played and been involved with football for over 2 decades they really have NFI.

Do you know what grindes my gears? Healy saying Gery as in Gary Ablett and using a ringing r like an italian concretor would. sandy roberts does it and healy is a habitual line stepper when it comes to this aswell.

Most unfair on Frawley, Harry. Nowhere near as stoopid as Healy - the benchmark idiot.

Gold stuff Harry, you are right :hihi

Especially the Spud bit :hihi

It is a sad day when we have to cop it from a man probably involved in more wooden spoons that anyone in the history of the game (Spud) and a guy that used to play wearing women's corsets (Healy).

Particularly when the man involved in the wooden spoons set the club back 5 years with his negative gameplan and horrible recruiting. Even looking at his goofy face on the telecast makes me want to put my foot throught the telly.
