Brandon Ellis

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I notice Ellis is named on the interchange bench.

Surely the Ellis 'sub' farce will not re-appear!

Anyone who takes their cues from the team sheets is in for a hiding (Supercoachers take heed). Ellis has just played his best game of football for the RFC, Hardwick will give him license to run for 4 quarters and give him time to settle into his new midfield role.

Matty White is odds on to be sub.

White is definitely No.22 in the team but neither Floss nor Knights is fit enough to run out a game. Floss as sub, coming on for Fat Boy Knights halfway through the third. White to tag Motlop.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

I could be wrong but from all of our games this year, the sub has always come from a player named on the interchange bench. Never from the 18 originally named on the Thursday night.

Just waiting to get proven wrong. ;D

Like it although Motlop's agility will be hard to counter for White. But he may be our best bet.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

well done should go to Rosy as she was talking Brandon up well before he was drafted.... :clap

I remember a few games last year when a player was named on the ground but started as the sub,
haven't played attention to this season though.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Backed up last weeks performance with another solid outing, his kicking looks to be a real weapon. If he can develop his inside game a little further then I reckon we've got a solid midfielder on our hands.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

Yeah, he looks like he can really become a part of that second tier that we lack.

Runs hard every time he can. Understands what the term "spread" means. Just doesn't run to space, runs hard to space to get involved. And doesn't look for cheap touches. Looks to get involved in the right way.

Re: Welcome Brandon Ellis

total upgrade on jacko and grigg...great runner..excelent kick..samrt..will go in and tackle....played very well last night

One of our few players currently improving ATM.

You reckon he has full time midfield potential Leysy? I still see a lot of Jarred McVeigh in him.

Better player then I thought. Has gone past conca
Yes - playing well and has improved, but doubt he has gone past Conca. Conca is very skilful and courageous and highly unrated. No surprise we have struggled in the middle since he has been injured.
