Guru Bob says that a defensive runner who has the ball is an attacking runner.

Think about that one.

Ahh the 80's and 90s were great times for footy radio -Coodabeens, Big Rexy going off his tits calling Tigers games ..............

Not sure I'd have him in front of Lego at the moment.
Bobble goes to ground too easily n Lego's been double grabbing n fumbling a lot, but at least when Lego gets hold of the pill. He attacks with it, while Bobble's generally looking for the cheap safe dish off, someone to save him. Of the two I think I'd rather see Lego get a handful of games n perhaps settle that little bit of composure, unfortunately Bobble seems to have regressed since 2017.

That's fair. That said Brando is the one with the Premiership medal. He's shown he is very capable at the level when playing his best.
Oleg is yet to show that but might have the more upside. Jury still out.

Hmmm

A two-games-in-one-game theorists?

The genesis of the defensive small forward?

Its a theory that won us the flag, so im pretty evangelicalated about it and teach it to kids in school.

As youde know, i dont like saying negative things about our players. Yeah i do it, but i dont like it.

I dont think Oleg or Connor will ever be half as good as Brando at his best.

And

It's time to take games off the Squib and give them to Markov.

On the upside he gives us much more as a depth player than any of the guys we moved on last year

He's a strange one is Bobble. 2016 when he should have been stepping up n attacking the game, he regressed n went all hesitant, short, backwards n sideways. 2017 in our premiership year he steeped up to where he should have been n attacked the game, went forward most of the time n looked to have finally become the honest n reliable matured player that we'd been waiting for him to become. 2018 he regressed again to be more like the 2016 version of Bobble that's so frustrating n bloody annoying, unfortunately his 2019 pre season hasn't started well n he could be leaving the gate wide open for anyone who wants to waltz through.

you sure you go for the tiges.... ::)

Brando is featured in an article about free agents on the AFL site. Bit surprised to see he is restricted, meaning he’s in our top 25% of earners.

Picked up over 40 in VFL I read somewhere, would have to assume he is a chance in the rejig that is required because of Alex’s injury.

It's not just about picking up possessions it's what you do with it. His highlights of the game didn't excite me too much. Saying that he is an experienced depth player so is probably high in consideration.

Yes I realize that but thanks for the insights..

I guess it depends what he was dropped for and what he has been told he has to work on ,

I’m guessing in his case it’s about being more competitive, his running game comes naturally, competing for the ball not as much ,

Which is why all his teammates got around him in that 17 final when he collided with Dangerfield,

and he looked a bit uncompetitive in the jlt,

And I’m guessing why he spent time in the middle in the twos , show us you are willing to compete for the ball

its going to be a quick game and Ellis is good for 12+km of solid up and down running. He has a knack racking up 20+ touches and can deliver under pressure, although I sometimes think he gets himself in a pickle and is forced to kick on his left too often. Same argument with Markov, offers lots of run but can he nullify an opponent???

Ellis gets more ball than Markov.

Massive game for him tomorrow night. Another weak performance and it’s a line through him I reckon. With Rance and Houli out - Needs to stand up and be a leader.

Yep needs a solid performance. Needs to take the game on n keep his feet in the contests. Starts falling over n looking for the cheap little backwards give off then he'll pretty much stamp his own card for the year.

Not expecting much.
The only role he might be good at is a stopper. Give him on job on Thomas or Stephenson

Yep agree - and I think he can turn it around.

But if he took an offer from another club, would we get an end of first round pick as he would get good coin elsewhere
