One would have to assume he'd be bitterly disappointed not being selected against North.
Can't blame him.
He should have been selected and he will be disappointed but so should Tom Mitchell have been selected for the swans in last year's finals and what has he done? Put his head down and bum up and had a great season. Billy hartung was very unlucky to not be in the hawthorn team last week and plays this week. Lever at adelaide, Turner and Mcdonald at north are all unlucky.

Young players miss out, sometimes they deserve it and sometimes they don't. It's not just us and not just Ben Lennon.

Benny will have a long and productive career at Tigerland imo

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

The problem with Ben is his contested ball. He can't win it and that's why he didn't play in the final, pure and simple.

However, there were very promising signs this year and I would be shattered if he walked.

Don't think he will though.

I think he may also be relieved that he is not been tarred by the incompetence shown by the Tigers in the game.

Has always come across as the typical Gen Y with an inflated opinion of himself and sense of entitlement. Would be happy to see the back of him as part of a good trade for the club.

I don't want to be his mate, I don't care if he has an inflated opinion of himself. In fact, when he is 45 meters out an an acute angle I hope he thinks he is God.

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

He has improved significantly this year. Last year he had the deer in the headlights syndrome. I like his marking and kicking. If he can improve his ground skills and develop more speed, the sky is the limit.

Hold on? Besides little Miles who else got contested ball? Ellis?? Grigg? Cotchin??
Great Ve me a break.
Hardwick got it wrong not playing him and Lloyd

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

I see your point zippa, but I was looking at the results from more than one game.

I would have preferred him to play, I was just commenting on why I thought he was left out.

It would've not mattered anyway. We would've find a way to lose.
Huge last week. I've seen bad losses over 40 years, that would be in the top 3

Plain and Simple here Guys

Carlton have gotten in this kids ear and offered him good dollars, Which has inflated his expectations of his contract at Richmond football Club

He was/is a carlton supporter and Father is a mad blues man, so it wouldnt be too difficult to get him to cross over (specially when you effectively can throw 450k which is chris yarran dollars at him)

Carlton know we are into Yarran and Want a 1st round selection, So will be asking for 1st or Lennon - Simple

Simple in that its your take on why he hasn't re-signed, or you know him or have a reliable source? Haven't heard this rumour elsewhere, cheers

Bit of a furphy. He had 8 contested possessions in each of his last 2 games. The last was in just over 60 mins of game time yet he was 5th for the Tiges for contested possessions. So that couldnt have been why he wasn't selected. I still don't know why he wasn't.

It just goes to show CC that our player retention has been pretty good. Apart from Schulz we have a good record.

In my opinion if Lennon walks I doubt it has anything to do with our club's culture, I think it will be personal with Lennon being to eager & immature. I hope he realises his chances will be available next year in spades as long as he keeps off the hamburgers.

Think your spot on Axe , like what I saw of the lad and his much better option then Lloyd going forward. Hopefully signs on in the next week or 2

Other then White, who was the last player to walk for coin?

Thought White left for job security - we weren't prepared to offer more than one year contract whereas Port gave him 2 or 3. Reportedly on similar coin.
And ottens walked for more money didn't he?

Re: Welcome to tiger land Ben Lennon

Speaking of player retention history, let's all take a moment to reflect on Carlton.
