Ben Lennon

Hero could have passed it to Markov who was 40 out but did the selfish thing. Typifies the type of player he is. *smile* him off to Carlton.

Not his fault at all re the last lick.

Chols garbage kicks at goal, Taylor Hunt is a disaster man

Conversion or lack of killed em

Not his fault? You don't think he should have turned around and at least looked if there was someone in a better position, ie. not having to kick from 55m?

Obviously not at fault on his own for the loss, but that play at the end where he didn't even bother to turn around shows exactly what he is as a player.

Exactly.

Gone.

Agree, our whole mantra now is team first. There isn't an AFL player that will line up for the AFL GF next week that would have done the same in the same situation. All players would have looked for someone in a better position and looked to move the ball quicker.

Spot on, should have his papers stamped over that.

That's the kind of player he is, and one of the reasons that he's playing VFL.

It was certainly strange that he decided straight off to have a shot from 55m
made the distance easily so i guess it was the right decision.

Time to move him on.
Not AFL standard..
I suspect he does not work hard enough .......he was not able to chase or apply any defensive pressure.
Maybe we can get a late pick for him but I doubt it.
A bust.

Benefit of the doubt - maybe he knew there was 5 seconds left.

Patton passed it off on the quarter time siren... I'll say Lennon did the right thing given the time remaining.

Wasn't there, didn't see it, but if he had to kick a barrel why did he turn his back?

I don't blame Lennon for the loss but I realise after watching this game why he is in the reserves and can't break into the seniors.

He does not apply pressure, does not run and carry, does not chase or tackle and also, seems lazy. Not skills that will get you into the seniors.

It almost looked like he knew today was his last game and he didn't care enough to fight to stay.

He made the distance with a drop punt and the siren went 5 seconds after he took the mark (32+ minutes on the clock).

Everyone is just taking the opportunity to pot him for their previously held beliefs that he's selfish. I'm not a fan btw, just pointing out the facts of the matter.

He knows the siren is going to go at any second, did the right thing to go back and have the shot.

He passes to Markov and he drops it or the siren goes everyone would be saying why didn't he take the shot. Bird in the hand is always better than 2 in the bush.

Josh Jenkins would.
