It makes you wonder.

With Hardwick likely to see out next year on his current contract and stupids still in charge (Board, Gale, Richardson, Hartley) it is likely that all of Miles, Townsend and Lennon will be gone next year.
Then Balme will make a decision on the coach at end of 2018 and probably promote from within with all of Caracella, Rutten and Leppitsch in the frame.

Seriously looking like a waste of another first round pick, if some club happens to be desperate enough to consider him at years end, we'll only get shrapnel for him. Late draft pick or somehow tacked onto a trade as an after thought.tigertim said:I think it's safe to say that's about the end of the line for Ben, if he can't get a gig when Jacks out then I can't see him getting another chance.
Well no one wanted him at the end of last season so I doubt they'd want him after this season. As someone said prior he might get a gig through the rookie draft but that'd be about itTigerMasochist said:Seriously looking like a waste of another first round pick, if some club happens to be desperate enough to consider him at years end, we'll only get shrapnel for him. Recruiting shouldn't miss so badly with first round picks.
At least with the Concareter it's injuries that have stuffed his career, he's a fairly reasonable player when he can stay on the park. Lennon so far has given us three fifths of SFA by comparison.Pandaboy said:Absolutely shockingly bad first round pick. Not sure which was worse Conca over Heppell or Lennon over Cripps. Imagine if we had nailed those 2 drafts, we could have been looking at a golden era right now.

Astbury had accomplished more than Lennon at that point. Most of his issues were injury related, plus he's key position size. Lennon doesn't have any of that. Won't be missed.B1 and B2 said:yeah people wanted Asbury moved on to

ST, surely you jest, Lenno tried to leave us twice and there were no takers. We will get nothing for him and it doesn't seem we are willing to give him a game for his last shot at it.saigon tiger said:A keeper or at least a decent trade bait. Others to go before him surely!

easy said:Reecey and Ben are just about at opposite ends the spectrum in terms of on-field work rate.
The jumper GPS spelt the end for blokes like Ben I reckon.
Do they use them in the U18 champs I wonder?
Tigertough1974 said:Understand Easy, i wasn't comparing as players, just mentioned Balmey had said we don't discard 1st rounders so easily when Conca wasn't attracting interest and they signed him on for another 2 years... That was more my point, if thats how they see things Ben probably has a 1-2 year downgraded deal, unsure though as seems Dimma doesn't want to play him!
