Ben Lennon

Don't blame him wanting a move. Last place you'd want to be is at richmond under hardwick. Surprised more players aren't requesting a move.

If things are just so incessantly bad for you, Harry, maybe you prefer to move over to following the Giants or the Dawks. Request a move yourself. Granted.
Say what you like about players under DH, but your constant negative posting on here would cause depression for anyone.

Know of any clubs that haven't even made finals the last 3 years? How many teams have won a flag in the same period? Has DH coached for 3 out of the five times RFC has made finals in the last 35? Mappa said it well too re Lennon.

When Harry believes things are travelling well with the club he is the first to praise Leonie.

For a decade on here the guy has shown an eye for a footballer, and an even better one for a coach.

Just because he believes knows the vast majority of our issues stem from our head coach and he sticks by that doesn't make him always a negative nelly.

You'd do well to learn from him young fella.

Well said Leysy

A potential talent is Lennon.
Maybe his attitude will turn around and improve after he leaves RFC.
If he can get his body and attitude in the right frame then he has a chance of being a pretty handy footballer ... but, obviously, with another club.
Will be interesting to observe from a distance how he performs at his new club. Just hope we don't end up gnashing our teeth on this one.

Straight from the mouth of the Darksiders "Mutual Appreciation Society for Tigers are Universally Retardard By Another Terrible Era" President.

Perhaps there are some other issues floating about between posters, but I have to say that I am in the corner of Harry and Leysy (not that they need or require my backing), because I generally agree with their views and summations of the current state of play at RFC. If this makes me a so-called Darksider then so be it. I am not for labels. Much prefer to just speak my mind and try and not irritate others too much (hopefully).
RFC is is a diabolical state at the moment ... it is plain to see ... the light hasn't really shone on Punt Road Oval for some decades now ... and the place does seem to be getting grimmer and darker by the season.

Just about sums up my and others opinions on the state of RFC.

Good post, well said.

Interesting discussion about the coach but my suspicion is that the the Coach is not the issue with Ben Lennon. Sure he should have been picked in the elimination final last year but so should have Lloyd and how did he react ? He trained harder and became a pretty decent forward.

Ben Lennon's problem can't just be that. When someone with that talent level is running around in the vfl getting 8 touches it's between his ears.

He sooked it up. He was told by Lids last year to work harder and it seemed he did for a while but it all got a bit hard for him imo.

If anyone takes this as some defence of the Coach they would be wrong. There are other reasons why things happen apart from our coaching worries.

Good post sintiger. Lennon has only himself to blame. As someone smarter than I said, Lloyd was dropped also and he responded by working his arse off.

Really? Despite all the current problems it could have been a lot worse over the past 4 seasons. Just look at Melbourne or Carlton or Essendon.

Spot on, Sin. Ben's got serious talent to go with some glaring deficiencies at the elite level. Like Bullarto said, when he's prepared to do the hard yards he might be of use to a team, it's just not going to be with us unfortunately. Hopefully we aren't clamouring to get more flawed flankers with our best pick this season. Less board spills and more focus on the recruiting department for mine.

Think you over state his talent.

Have long posted he needs to be just about the fittest and hardest worker at the club to overcome his vast physical limitations.

And those two things he aint.

We know Lennon can play, we have seen it in the last 1/3 of the 2015 season. His physical limitations are offsett to a large degree by a great set of hands , a killer right foot and a decent degree of natural anticipation. Pity he didn't add hard work to that.

So you don't think he has more talent that as a hack getting 8 touches in the vfl ? Of course he does. ]

That may well be an interesting point, Western, but I suspect that all three clubs you mention are probably better positioned to front season 2017 than the Tigers. Even the damn cheats Essendon are about to welcome back a plethora of talent. Melbourne does show some promise. And there is some chance that Carlton may also prove to be a more consistent team than Richmond.
Time will tell, I guess, but I reckon season 2017 looms as a potentially miserable one for Richmond.

Talking about miserable, went through Bullarto the other week. Wet and cold!
