CC ended the press conference brilliantly!!

Agree Mopsy, but thats exactly what they didn't do. We had March/Cameron and co coming out saying that if the AFL don't grant the Pokak application we will not take Cousins we will take a kid.
What they should have done is say "We will await the AFL decision, then finalise our recruiting strategy after considering all our options"
Everyone kept guess, no silly comments, nothing that can be thrown back in our faces, simply and honest statement that would have reflected quite adequately what in fact happened. Now we have journalist on our case already, simply because they couldn't sit down and develop a common media strategy, instead we had people shooting from the hip and ending up looking silly.
Despite looking silly to some extent, and knowing some media pundits will no doubt seize the moment to remind us as such, I do think we are the winners here today. Lets hope it all works out for the club and Ben. Ben has is chance now show us your genuine in your desire to return to the top.
I was never a fan of us recruiting Cousins for various reasons which I'm not going to cover old ground, but for pick 6 in the PSD I think it was a bargain basement pick which could see Sheeds yet again being hailed the master tactician. Watch out Terry if this move is successful they will be calling for Sheeds to take over even if we finish in the top 4 :rofl
Now that Ben is in a Tiger jumper he is one of our own and I will support him just like any other RFC player.
Round 1 Judd V Cousins. The fantasy is now a reality..........Bring it on.

There's no desperation in throwing a life line with the 90th pick in the draft. He's got one year.. he's 35th on our list. If it works, we win, he wins.. if it doesn't work Football needs and owes it to him to give him the support he needs after dragging it out for the last 18 months.
To say we're desperate doesn't look at the fact we won 8 of our last 11 with really two main deficiencies... a 2nd ruckman and a solid midfield.
Everything we've done over the last month has been at correcting it. Can't be desperate when it works towards a plan. It's opportunistic, not desperate. Opportunistic means if it works we come out better... but if it doesn't Shane Edwards, Hislop and the like get the chance to prove they can do it. Again, I say, how is this desperate?

Two first time members signed up today from my clan once the news broke. We're excited!
You have come to a great club Benny. Just try your best that's all we ask. I'm sure once you hear us belt out "We're from Tigerland" the first time after a game you will realise the dramas of recent weeks have all been worthwhile.

He's a flawed genius, and I for one am proud of our great Club for giving hi a chance, I hope he grabs it with both hands.
I met CC today after the press conference and I shook his hand and said, "Thankyou to yourself and the board for giving him a chance, we the Members and supporters are wrapped with this"...he smiled back and said Thanks for that we are all pretty excited for the future.
