Ben Cousins a Tiger (Merged)

Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?

I know that he had shaved body hair because he could not produce a single strand of hair for the test that was 3cm long.

Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?

And i hope RFC maintain a dignified silence.

Am very anti Cuz (mainly because of his rumoured continued dalliance in drugs) but would hope the tiges play their cards close to their chest and let actions on draft day talk louder than hyperbole leading up to it.

Keep the other clubs guessing in true Sheedy fashion.

But how do you know he hasn't always shaved his legs? He probably has.

Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?

i heard on radio also that tigers might pick up cousins with first pick and not wait for afl to decide.
bu also have a read of MX thursday 11/12/2008 and turn to page 15, there is an article in their, i think you can pick up a copy from railwaystaions

Bollocks. There has been no official word from the RFC regarding Ben Cousins. Its pure speculation by Journo,s.

Agree, I heard a report on the same station and they said Richmond MAY even still select Cousins regardless of the AFL decision on Polak as Wallace and Cousins met yesterday, confirming their interest.

Edit: You know what I'm going to hate the most about getting Cousins? Every 3 weeks there's going to be a rumour "Cuz got caught..." or "Cuz failed drug test, waiting on official confirmation..." when it's false.

I'm expecting a couple of scares by idiot posters pretending to be in the know.

Also the media are trying to make everything sound positive right now so public support is high, but I'm still sure they are deliberately doing this with the intention of returning to the sewer as soon as it's official. They're lobbying for Cousins too, I don't look forward to the stories that will no doubt pop up over the next few months. They'll probably blow something out of nothing, like "Cousins seen in public with Deledio". But I'm willing to ride the good with the bad.

Count on it. Especially if we are not playing well and/or he is not playing, he will increase the pressure cooker. You can't not take him solely for fear of the media though, stuff em!

There is nothing to wait on, the AFL will decide before they can take him. The AFL decide on Monday, the PSD is Tuesday.

Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?

This quote by Greg Miller, who has been working with Rick Nixon lately, is interesting -

"He's had a few problems in the last couple of months – about four or five months ago – but he's certainly giving it his every effort and a football club can finish that rehabilitation and really assist him."

That's probably why most clubs put a line through his name at the ND and beyond. Reading into those comments it looks like he had a relapse somewhere between 2-5 months ago so, if that is the case, it is no wonder some clubs got gun-shy. Interesting that he also says that "a football club can finish that rehabilitation and really assist him." I wonder if we picked him up whether he would be emotionally ready and physically rehabilitated enough to play in Round 1? He probably would, provided every goes well for him from now on.

Ben Cousins in full flight on the football arena is great however the fact is it is almost common knowledge that he is still flying like an eagle off the field. Not what we need.
Do you have any actual proof of this allegation? It is common knowledge that Cousins had a drug problem, despite never having tested positive, he admitted to it himself, however it is not common knowledge that he has been anywhere near a drug of addiction for some time.

Head hair I presume you mean?

Because how would you know whether he shaved the rest of his body or not?

Have you been under a rock? He had a full body wax, no long hair left on his body at all. This was acknowledged by the AFL as the reason he couldn't have hair test. They can obviously take long hairs off his pubic region or the under arm region but there was nothing there.

Do we assume since Deledio has shaved his hair that he has something to hide. In case you havent noticed over the years, there are plenty of footballers that shave their head during the pre-season.

But not get full body waxes.

Look at most pics of him in 07 with the Eagles and you'll see he is hairless then over the body.

This is ridiculous talking about body hair anyway, while you're at it, mind telling me who shot JFK? Or did we actually land on the moon? Who was behind 9/11?

Show some balls RFC and get him on board. Help him through his rehabilitation and I am sure Cousins will repay the faith. Its time now for the RFC to show up the rest of the league that we are no bunnies and can mix with the best of them.

While you weren't asking me, thought I'd help you out, since I've been enjoying your posting of late...

Who shot JFK? Everyone knows Greg Miller did.

Did we land on the Moon? Yes, the club did, unfortunately we left our soul there too and only just getting the money together for the trip back to collect it.

9/11? That had nothing to do with RFC, that was just a smokescreen created by Eddie McGuire to distract from him STILL not winning a premiership.

Think about it.......... a clever ruse to put Eddie and others off his trail while RFC quietly went about their business. Nothing illegal in what Benny did.

PS Rumour has it Momentai paid for the treatment. He's a shrewd operator.

Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?

Who feels up to the task of re-writing the lyrics to Michael Jackson's "Ben"?

Look, you can even keep the first two lines....

"Ben, the two of us need look no more
We both found what we were looking for"
