Interesting indeed Daengford, only 3% of people questioned want Ben at Tigerland, the other 97% dont understand the question.

That's an overwhelming "chai" then in my book.

Do you have any actual proof of this allegation? It is common knowledge that Cousins had a drug problem, despite never having tested positive, he admitted to it himself, however it is not common knowledge that he has been anywhere near a drug of addiction for some time.
balderdash again. of course its common knowledge i give it no more than 6 mnths before benny is caught and you can bet your bottom dollar he will do everything in his power to avoid it again. unfortunately thats his history. do a bit of homework its not hard certain people were well known at their school yes their school where most drugs could be aquired.

This quote by Greg Miller, who has been working with Rick Nixon lately, is interesting -

"He's had a few problems in the last couple of months – about four or five months ago – but he's certainly giving it his every effort and a football club can finish that rehabilitation and really assist him."

That's probably why most clubs put a line through his name at the ND and beyond. Reading into those comments it looks like he had a relapse somewhere between 2-5 months ago so, if that is the case, it is no wonder some clubs got gun-shy. Interesting that he also says that "a football club can finish that rehabilitation and really assist him." I wonder if we picked him up whether he would be emotionally ready and physically rehabilitated enough to play in Round 1? He probably would, provided every goes well for him from now on.
4 or 5 mths my arse hes never stopped.

Re: Ben Cousins a tiger?

going by what march has said on radio, our first pick will be to probably draft a young kid, cousins will only get to us if polak can be moved to rookie list.
my opion even though its short term and we only had 1 pick i would go and get cusins,in that time our midfield would of learnt a lot from him, plus the exposure would help us land a major sopsonr .
look at carlton with judd last year their exposure went into overdrive
it would be worth the chance

I'm a 100% with ya Clawmiester. They're only drooling 'coz benny's a gun player.
If he was average they'd be tearing the walls down and howling like banshees.

Plans to make him a Tiger.

Terry, Craig, Steven, Sheeds and Gary March are pulling together on bringing Cousins to Richmond and quite obviously their efforts are receiving massive support. It looks to me like it is going to happen and I am very confident that the Club can turn his arrival to massive advantage both on and off the ground.

Careful plans to intigrate him would now be under consideration.

The players rather than any aging former stars, are the key to his progress and just my opinion but I think the Clubs plans should closely involve Richo. Great worker, widely respected and no better role model. Cousins should be around the great man 24/7 and if they make it through to Rd 1 together, they will both be gold.

Well of course. Why would take a risk for a guy that can't play.

How good will it be to have this guy in high pressure games such as this clip here....

Except swap Cotchin in for Kerr and Deledio in for Judd.

:rofl

That clip is everything that makes Judd NOT the best player in the comp like so many label him as.

Imagine the sledging that would go on here if that was Jordan McMahon!

Sure our interest comes from what he can do for us. Whats wrong with that. Cousins clearly has a long way to go with his rehab but no one is likely to provide a better support system than the RFC. Stand back and watch. With the right support and a bit of luck a now highly motivated addict, might just make it to Rd 1. And if he does there will be a significant number of sponsorship prospects along with 90,000 fans there to cheer him on.
