Stopped being a Kiss fan after Ace left the band. Simmons is an F wit.
Interested to hear about the concert CC.
Chris Newman.....was good , incredibly loud, but it's just tough seeing ya grandpa up on stage not the man he once was, in saying that amazing effort too still play as he did. His support guitarist was a Keith Richard looking wana be 18 again shocker imho....glad I went good gig an doubt will see him again, apparently struggled to get up for the gig

It was a great show, really powerful performance notwithstanding some technical problems! Kudos to Ace for playing a solid 2 hour set at 64 years old. The volume didn't bother me thanks to my trusty ear plugs. The KISS classics were great as were Ace's solo stuff. I spoke to a couple of guys in RFC polo shirts who had come straight up to the gig from the game, Ace's show was definitely what was needed after the Tigers' disappointed us.

I must be getting too old Space ;D ...I was were the brawl was so right in the bloody loudest part....opening acts were pretty good I thought.....apparently the VIPs got pushed back an hour because Ace was buggered, neally not up to doin the gig...still not bad for 64

That's interesting info CC, I had no idea about the VIPs being delayed. If Ace would've cancelled the show there would've been a riot, especially considering last night was the biggest crowd of the tour so far. But Ace is not exactly known for his professionalism, so it doesn't surprise me he would've considered pulling out. It certainly explains why they raced through the songs. Btw NY Groove was incredible!

Does he play "I Remember You" 15 times in a row?

I remember Skid Row from the Gunners Calder Park gig all those years ago. Bach is as mad as that proverbial meat axe.

Looking at tix myself and funnily enough looked at the date as well and thought "could it clash with a final".

Yeh no doubt they'll go thru a box of lighters

Twas a sad and yet joyful night at Bennetts Lane as they hosted their last Friday night ever with a "special" Divas night.
Tears flowed and lots of alchohol consumed as 6 wonderful singers strutted their stuff.
Thanks Meggs, Michael and Jeremy - your dedication in providing a 7 nights per week adult jazz club that achieved world wide acclaim will never be forgotten by those who entered your doors.
You'll be (seriously) missed.
RIP Bennetts Lane.

Such a shame that place has to close. I only went in there once for a gig, which was brilliant, but I used to work at the hotel in bennets lane and you could hear the music each night.

I saw American Football (the emo band from the late 90s) and I have to say I do not think I will see a better live act this year. I go to at least 1 gig every week and to see a band be that tight musically and that enthralling on stage after 15 years of not being a band was incredible.
If anyone saw them in Melbourne of Brisvegas last week I'd love to talk about crying in public.

Saw The Angels (or what's left of them) at the Burvale a couple of weeks ago. The Brewster brothers are in fine form for guys who must be in their 60s. They didn't miss a beat and the band is still tight as a drum. No one can replace Doc Neeson but Dave Gleeson is a bloody good stand in. Nice touch to have one of their sons (can't remember which one get them mixed up) Sam playing bass.

Just a good old fashioned Australian suburban pub rock show. $40 you can't go wrong. Beers flowing, loud music, serious hangover the next day, just like the 80s and 90s. Good times.

Really thinking about seeing them again 5th Sept at Shoppingtown Hotel in Doncaster. Classic Australian rock never dies.

Good to see Riddles. I haven't seen The Angles (as some like to call them ;D) since the Countdown Spectacular in 2006 with Doc romping into the crowd asking if he will ever see our faces again......unfortunately he was right. RIP Doc. I've heard Dave Gleeson is a perfect fit from the Jets. I just wish all or most pubs would have live bands again. It's also a shame that Reynesy has to be a 1 man band with the Crawl's songs.

if I'm not in the states at the time goin to see Def Leppard an Live, then Live with Chocolate starfish, got Sebastian Bach on prelim final night, then Kiss a couple of weeks later...

For any fans of Loon Lake there final show is goin to be in November

Good stuff CocaCola. Have seen Def Leppard 'in the round' live back in '91. They used to be my fav band. Best era was High & Dry through to Hysteria.
Kiss I have also seen too at their 'Farewell tour' in back in '01 when Ace last played with them in Oz.
Both put on a good live show.
