Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

For such a beautiful kick some of his delivery inside 50 is woeful. Loves putting it in nowhere land in between forwards.

He was my worst yesterday. Panicked every time he had it.
That play in the 3rd qtr destroyed us. He had 3 options and then decided to kick it to no one
And then again in the last qtr, by himself with time picked out Grigg alongside a Carlton player.
He was useless yesterday.
Clubs don't loose good players

Spot on. That 3rd qtr stuff up pretty much turned the game on its head. Had he hit a target the game would have been over. Instead kicks it no one, Carlton rebounds, scores a goal and then momentum swings.

Yeah, watching it again you just shake your head.
15mins 19 secs to go in the 3rd. Bachar will hate watching that bit of play. Why he did not handball over the top of Kade Simpson to Jake King on his outside was mind-blowing. I know he doesn't like to use his right foot but a right hand handball shouldn't be that difficult for him. And he knew they were there, he looked at them twice so it is not as if he could have thought Jake would not be miles in the clear if Kade zoned off him and came to him. If it was a good handball Jake would have strolled to 40 out and should not miss, a bad one and they would have had a 2 on 1 and Bachar would have probably got it back from Jake he would have strolled to 40 out. Instead of a 37 point lead, it was followed up by Ty and Tucky's confusion and bang, bang.. 25 seconds later it is 19 pts and game on. That was a huge momentum shift in the match. In 60 seconds the attitude in the crowd and all around the TV viewing world went from "Richmond is going to kill them" to "The little Tigs are choking". Of course you never blame a single moment on an outcome but I am sure Bachar would see that as a monstrumental "sliding doors" moment from the game.

I think it is safe to say even if we got to 37 points up we still would have lost considering they won by 20.

Wasn't amazing or anything on Sunday but he showed he can handle the heat. No problem here. A fine player who gives us a lot. No stage fright. Move on.

Football's a game of momentum and we'll never know what would have happened if Houli made a better decision there.
What we do know is if they kicked 5 goals in 9 minutes after that moment.... but yes, Carlton were brilliant in those 9 minutes.

Champion bloke and will be back firing next year.

Great video of the Bachar Houli cup on the RFC site.

He is stinging after the final loss but couldn't believe the roar of the Tiger Army.

Love his silky kicking out of the backline. He will be back better next year.

So unfortunate for him but that was the moment that turned the game . He and A Edwards were decent players on the day but cost us dearly

We lost by 50 points in the second half. I'm not sure how you single out those two for costing us dearly. It was more of solid all round team effort

Panick merchant.
Destroyed the game. Had 400 options and kicked to none
I've watched it a 100 times. He had Ellis on the outside and king forward and what does he do? Kick a high ball to Grigg with 2 Carlton players on him..
38 points would've been the margin!!!

Zipps absolutely spot on options a plenty on that play and I was dumbfounded with what he did just as much as Edwards missing that set shot from 25m !!!!

Carlton didn't beat us, the little men in each of the 18 Richmond heads beat us after half time.
* For a dead eye *smile*, Edwards missed 2 sitters
* Houli spotting up Grigg in the forward, instead of going for goal.
* Deledio in the clear handballing off to Houli when he could've went all the way.
* Tucks "no vision" to give it to Ellis in the 3rd qtr.
* chaplains dropped mark on the wing.
* Rance's inability to stop Waite in the air (huge concerns)
* grimes playing on Betts in the 3rd qtr

All excuses, but enough to say that Carlton get into our heads and that's enough fir them to beat us.
