Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

For those who have knocked Houli in the past have a little peek at the RFC website today and take note. Same goes for Grigg.

Who could believe that Bachar would become a PRE favourite?

Houli *smile* up at times but he gets up and a second later it's like nothing happened. He gets on with it.

Of all the things I like about Houli my favourite is that he keeps running. In the final minutes of any of our games I expect to see him running with the ball. He runs and runs the game out. That's leadership.

Yep. Takes just as much courage n toughness to keep running hard over and over as it does to commit under the high ball or lay the big bump or tackle.

Dare I reopen old wounds,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but he's exactly the player Plough got wrong when he signed Dirty Sanchez.
Bachar goes when he has to, but generally stays out of the marking packs like a rover, sets for the spillage and runs the lines out of defence brilliantly, carries the overlap and usually delivers quality ball.

Ahh, the dirty sanchez.

Lest we forget.

People here like to scrutinize when Bacher turns it over and turn a grass seed into an oak tree about it.
Just like Cotch, sheer wait of possetions is insurance that you will make errors and just as its been pointed out a 3 posts ago , it's what you do after an error that really matters.

Another superb game. Who gives a toss about his clockwork like clanger every week. Insanely fit gut runner, elite disposal, and looks to finally have grown a pair. Scintillating form.

He definitely has improved his defensive work, particularly with ball in air.
Offensively, you get amazed when he finds so much space but when you consider that Lids, Ellis and Newman are often playing along side him on the back flanks then ball movement is very clean and it is pretty easy to find some room.

Apparently his head was smoking after the game during the on ground interview. Saw the interview, but didn't notice the smoke :)

Tonight's performance was one of his best IMO. A couple of clangers but now pretty good defensively and great offensively. Hell he has a big tank and can run hard all night.

I thought he was fantastic tonight, good run and tried hard to defend, doesn't tackle well, but hey nobody is perfect.

A great game . Hilarious dropped mark that looked like it nearly knocked him out in 4th.

Apparently had ice on his head after the game. :-[

They'll show it on TV and Essendon supporters will think, "typical Houli". Let 'em think what they like.
