Houli is a smokey for a top 3 B&F finish, best season by a country mile.

Now your getting too excited. Vickery, Nahas, Mcguane, longergan & Astbury
Can't see him making top 5 :rofl

Agree.

Great game by Houli. I love players who gut run.

What's the correct pronunciation of his first name? Most people - including me - say "Bashar", but I also hear "Bakkar" (including from an ump last night). He seems too polite a chap to correct anyone.

Basher is coming into form at the right time of the season. Bloody good game last night and the dropped mark was hilarious. :D

All good players need to have a comedy element in their bag of tricks.

Bar shar

Best on ground for mine. They were able to lock down on the guys like Lids, Dusty and Cotch, but that allows the likes of Grigg, Foley, Conca and Bachar off the chain. He seems to like playing the Dogs, had a good game against them last time and took it up another notch last night.

Love his desire to run. What a great story he is.

He epitomises why we can score heavily on the burst, but also how teams can carve us on the rebound.

Along with deledio and Martin, the driving force behind many of our attacks.

You can't contain all three.

Might have been the same umpire who awarded Maric a free kick and ponounced him as "Eyevan Marick"

Just about our most consistent player this year. Bach is a brilliant pickup by Blair.

yep, very under rated season so far. his gut running to receive and support upfield has been very impressive.

Here's his recognition.

A multitude of All-Australian teams were selected over the bye rounds, and not one of them included Houli.

Yet his numbers stack up.

This year he's going at 22 disposals at 81 per cent efficiency.

Grant Birchall is averaging 24 disposals at 80 per cent, Andrew Walker 23 at 77 per cent and Michael Hibberd 24 at 76.

It's pretty good company.

I've actually noticed teams have put a tag on Houli a few times this year, but he's done very well to fight through it and break it.
Unlike others in his position....Birchall for example gets locked down every time.
