Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Everyone brags his a beautiful kick, but how many did he miss tonight? And how many we're wobblers??
Not convinced his any good

He's had a few ordinary games this year and maybe he personally lifts for a game against the Dons, but he was just about BOG in the 1st half with his run and carry from the backline.

He even threw himself at some marking contests that have been a criticism of his this year. He played well, he just needs to do that every week and that's his challenge for next year.

Come on zips, open the other eye. Reckon Hirdy was doing a Gandhi and testing the Bomber supporters, allowing Houli to run amok like that.

Some harsh markers on PRE. I thought Houli was excellent last night. His link up work from the backline through the middle was fantastic. He worked his backside off last night.

Probably his best game of the season.

Agree it was his best game. If he finished a bit better like many of players last night he would have been BOG.

both houli and grigg were ok today but picking the right options wasnt one of them for both but on a positive they played there role ok today
For a bit of perspective on quality of disposals; both of Grigg's & Houli's Disposal Efficiency was higher than each of Delideo and Cotchin.

Yes; I know Delideo and Cotchin are champions and get lots of their own ball. However; it mostly seems to be Grigg's & Houli's DE that people are bagging. Last night's stats don't bear that out.

All four of those players had good kicks and bad. However; Grigg & Houli had a higher percentage of efficient disposals than Delideo and Cotchin.

How about a bit of consistency? Bag players when they are actually bad - or else bag everyone for every mistake they make - not just players that you don't personally like.

From Greg Baum twitter ‏@GregBaum last night:

The best Essendon player out there tonight is Bachar Houli.

His running and linking last night was the best it has been for a long while. Was very good I reckon.

He was excellent last night, a real hunger for the contest. I also noticed he finished the game with a bandage around his head, too. One of the RFC's best along with Tucky.

Agree, played with a bit more venom too

Was and has been a excellent pick up.

Thought he played like a man who had something to prove.

Poor mans Grant Birchall.
