Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Very good pick up.

Unfortunately for Blair, while Houli has been getting better and better and improving, Grigg went massively backwards after a good start to the year.

I love the way he belts up and down the wing to create an option. I always feel confident when he has the ball that he'll choose the right option and executive it well.

"Massively backwards" is a silly overstatement.

23.7 disposals per game in first half of the year, 20.4 a game in the second half

Went backwards a bit

It's not all about touches. Maybe 'Massively' is a bit of an overstatement but Grigg went NOTICEABLY backwards IMO.

Agree. :fing32

I was not a fan of Houli at all, but he has started to win me over with his run and carry, especially his kicking. Might be still a bit soft in the one on ones but makes up for it with is run and carry and his kicking.

Agree on Grigg. He should have good stats, completely unaccountable footballer from what I've see

Massively backwards? When he was assigned some minding roles toward the end of the year. Crikey, hard taskmasters.

Agree JB.

I though he was quite effective when given a tagging job.

I'm sure the marketing department are already thinking about this (RFC Official if you're listening ;)) but after Bachar has made some strong strides this year this creates a great opportunity to tap into the young Mulsim market to help us reach the 70k membership total over the next few years.

You only have to know an Aussie Everton(guilty), Leeds, Milwaukee Bucks or San Diego Padres fan or an Irish ex-pat Demons or Swans fan to see the value in it. You can bet there will be a heap of African-Australian kids starting to appear in Kangaroos colours if/when Majak Daw starts getting a regular game.

Yeah, he changed roles in the second half of the year. No superstar but a perfect core footballer.

Think he will get better too.

The most impressive feature of Bacher's game is the fact that he stands up when we're getting pantsed. When everyone is having a shocker, Houli seems to be one of the few who doesn't give up and tries to get the game in our favour.

Just for that aspect of his game, I reckon he should be promoted to the leadership group next year.

Good post jimbob.
Still he annoys me the way he cruises between contests. Not the hardest runner in our side. Something for him to work on.

Double agree on Grigg. Racks up a lot of easy ball without much hurt nor account for his man.

Needs to get some urgency in his game. Big time.

Without being tuned in 100% he can be soft, slow & a poor tackler.

Has the makings of a whipping boy.

looks a footballer, is a footballer. a bloody good one too

First few games i was thinking ,another McMuffin, had a few clangers, kicked to opposition, even kicked the ground once missing the ball.

But with each game he got better and better, and better.

Now feel he is in the top 5-6 players at our club, and being young, could improve even more.

Well done Houli,great clubman(70 members),great person,and a good player,that may become a great player.

Very good pick up,,,,,and what did he cost us again,,,,,,oh thats right,,,,,nothing, very big tick to recruiting guys..
