rance if anything is more attacking than defensive.
yeah i thought that a strange comment . I would have thought that if there are knocks on young Rancey it would be his one on one defensive skills not his offense . He has done well this season in his run from the backline and plays as quite an attacking backline player .

He has been fantastic for us. Not sure about Grigg!!

Man there was something wrong with Grigg in the first quarter. Was way off his game and was constantly beaten to the ball and made some shocking mistakes. Dunno I might be wrong but he seems to be coasting a little bit. His contested possessions have been way down the last couple of weeks.

Hopefully a game against his old club will fire him up this week.

He's not a HBF or BP. Needs to be played in the Jackson role, a run with tagger. Meant to have elite endurance lets test it. Judd & Murphy are going to carve us up I think.

The worry on Grigg for leysy is his hardness when in the middle. He's not going to have the polish of others so needs to tackle like a madman.

Still its been a solid start to his career with us.

Whilst difficult to have an unbiased view after the laughing my bumber mates burst into when we chased him, I have tried. He is very poor in contested situations, very, very poor. In particular he panics when in D50. He is very good in space & by foot when kicking long/through the ball but I also think his short kicking needs improvement if possible as it tends to be less accurate & sort of lob in the air.

And also wish he'd have a crack at goal more often than he does. Not at the expense of an open team mate of course but ala Newman with an accurate 50m kick. Im sure he slotted one against the bumbers & it looked well within his comfort zone. Am I the only one thinking this?

I thought he got sold down the river with ridiculous handballs when he was already under the pump a number of times. McGuane the main offender. Handballs to players 2m away from him with an opponent right beside them so at least he doesn't have the ball when it's coughed up and can forgo any blame. Wasn't one of his best games but because of this reason alone I felt sorry for him.

Yep fair point re McGuane. I'm thinking he could be on the way out if he doesn't turn things around, especially with Batch & Grimes now

I'm not blaming bacher for the loss, that involved a team effort :p
but when newy put it over his head in the third qtr he just didnt go hard enough!!
then that effort in the last minute of that qtr was a joke
he has been reasonable in games, in some games good but he shirks too many contests
I see the same thing in grigg sometimes, do these two think they don't have to go hard at the contest because we chased them on the trade table ??? ???

Houli was poor as was the whole team, why they just stopped trying is beyond my comprehension.

Pretty simple, we are playing a winger as a backman. Probably the best kick at the club at the moment and he is wasted deep in the defensive half which is probably his greatest weakness. That 3 1/4 goal though he gave up epitomises this club at the moment. Dumb football with no structure.

No matter what others on here say i love this club and it *smile* hurts when i have to watch this *smile* over and over. This culture is killing us and until we get someone at the helm with the reputation to scare the *smile* out of all those weak excuses we call players, we will go nowhere. Too many pertenders, happy to sip up their lattes while we fork out our hard earned!!

I continues to amaze me that people think a club that was so massacred like it was under the wallet/miller era can transform overnight

we put a team on the field week in week out that has less experience than the GC half the time and people expect miracles......

had enough of this .... poker beckons.....

You can't give up the ball and allow a goal at such an important time in the game (just before 3/4 time) in such a weak willed manner. It just shouldn't happen at this level. Crameri just man handled him - and Houli showed nothing. Nothing.

I'm a different generation - I think that this guy is at a stage where he should be shamed in front of his team mates for such a pathetic effort rather than mollycoddled into 'getting over it' - and he either responds and grows a pair or he just fades away.

Perfect whipping boy material for Hardwick to exploit.

Thrash him Hardwick - cane him and put the bejesus up the rest of 'em!

have to agree, that was so weak couldnt he just bomb it 60m. i thin we all knew we were gone after that happened, i ctaully went to live betting after that but ess was already $1.25 so i didnt bother.

The turning point in the game, absolutely gave up.

He plays so scared jumping at shadows. He cant perform in night games, there are 4 shadows per player out there, it's very frightening.
