Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

What a game. Seems to stand up in finals type footy. Has had a ripper of a season and probably was a key today to saving that win for us.

Magnificent today. Got better as the game went on, which he tends to do in big hard-fought games.

he gets himself into the absolute correct position a lot .. really good today .. again ..

Was key in the final play of the game with lightning attack on the bobbling ball on the back of the square. Thwarted the eagles charge and booted it forward

blotted his copybook a bit with the 45 metre pass BACKWARDS IN THE WET. PLAY FOR TERRITORY! Led to the Ross turnover and WC goal, I hated that. But nobody's perfect.

The switch was on though. His kick wasn't the issue, it was stuffed up after that with a really poor kick from Ross, we pretty much had a 2 on 1 and he managed to hit the one.

Houli was immense today and got in my votes. Thought he was massively influential through the entire game.

not in the wet when you have the lead it wasn't. Down the line! Soon as he kicked it it had a feeling of inevitability. Houli was tremendous otherwise.

He was keeping possession which is important no matter what. All their talls were down the line and the switch was on, nothing wrong with that. We were trying to get it out to run it down. Theres no problem with a switch.

Ironic that some would bag him out just for kicking down the line to their talls but others bag when he looks to switch the play.

Looking forward to Lamby's take

OK. Generally good Antman. Had a very ordinary start and as usual had his Houli moments. Good intent in the last and some nice touches and link up play most of the day.

I'd say he did his job well both offensively and for the most part defensively although his opponent did kick 3 goals .

That switch was never on. We were sitting right above it. First instinct was 'What the hell is he doing, there's nothing over there? ".

They nearly managed to chip and poke their way out of it, but it required such cute kicking it inevitably came undone.

Horrible decision in the wet. I still had Houli equal best on with Martin and Soldo.

I'm bagging one moment in an otherwise great game. But I'll stick to my guns all day long on this. NOBODY would have bagged him for kicking down the line, nobody. So it is not ironic at all. It had been a war of territory attrition in the wet, suddenly he kicks backwards 45 metres, guess what happened?

Nobody bags people for kicking down the line yet people bag Short out for doing the exact same thing.

Was sat right above it too. When ross kicked down the line we had a 2 on 1.
