Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

I love the way he goes about his business on the footy field. He has been a great pickup. More of his type please :clap

I like the way he looks like he is playing in perfect dry conditions whilst everyone else is struggling with the greasy ball.

I was a bit worried about his lack of hardness. Seems to be improving that as well as playing some really good football. great pick up!

I think he would be fairing pretty well in the JD medal too

BOG two weeks in a row for mine...very happy with his recruitment and performances to date...all the more sweeter payment diddly squat for him...thought he could have signed a few more members though... :spin

i like the fact that he is developing (he's significantly improved since rd1). it shows he's learning, working hard, and is committed to Dimma's long term plan.

I thought the same thing today.

How good a pick up is Houli? He has such poise, skill, balance and penetration. What was Essendon thinking to let him go..? He's a star. I'm impressed. He will be a premiership player with us. He can allow Deledio to press forward. His kicking and footy smarts are outstanding. Back-to-back best on grounds in disappointing, avoidable losses. Not Bachar's fault. Kudos to the recruiting team that has delivered us of late Martin, Conca, Griggs, Houli, Grimes.

Agree with this. I have always liked him. Never understood why Knights didnt play him at Essendon more often.

Has been an inspired pickup. It's great to finally have a player where great disposal is expected rather than hoped for.

Love the fact that the game time and responsibility is improving Houli. Reckon he would still be struggling to get a game and some continuity of form at Essendon. So very good choice by him and it looks increasingly like a big win for us. Must feel good for him to know that he is going to be playing each week - real settler - he can just get on with trying to get the best out of himself.

Any more out there like this? Doesn't seem to be enough pressure from the two to stop looking for more of the same. Wonder if Majak Daw is feeling stifled by Hale Petrie and Pederson etc?

Dont think Hale would be giving Majac Daw too many issues down at Norf these days......

Whilst everyone around him is fumbling this guys ball handling has been exceptional the past 2 games.

Really stepped up in games his team has lost. Didnt think he could do that.

Contrary to leysy's thoughts is proving to be an excellent pickup. Good on him.

he's OK... we're ... ok

?

"a doctrine fostered by a delusional minority & rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media which believes that it is entirely possible to pick up a *smile* by the clean end because Tony Abbott does it hourly"

well at least he believe's in something, our Bachar!

Confidence is a wonderful thing Leysy. Something he clearly didnt have over at Windy Hill. Its taken Houli a few games to settle in a the Tigers but he is now showing why Hird was so desperate to keep him.

Bashar's ball handling has been good and as Hardwick had hoped as he gets more confidence and experience and support other parts of his game have picked up.

Still has afair ways to go defensively though. Young Whitey is getting a bollocking for not rushing a point quite unfairly IMO. Matt was IMO trying to push it through but Houli's atempt to keep it in was an error of judgement that caused a goal.

His errors are less but still needs to improve.
