vernissage said:How good a pick up is Houli? He has such poise, skill, balance and penetration. What was Essendon thinking to let him go..? He's a star. I'm impressed. He will be a premiership player with us. He can allow Deledio to press forward. His kicking and footy smarts are outstanding. Back-to-back best on grounds in disappointing, avoidable losses. Not Bachar's fault. Kudos to the recruiting team that has delivered us of late Martin, Conca, Griggs, Houli, Grimes.

So very good choice by him and it looks increasingly like a big win for us. Must feel good for him to know that he is going to be playing each week - real settler - he can just get on with trying to get the best out of himself.
Any more out there like this? Doesn't seem to be enough pressure from the two to stop looking for more of the same. Wonder if Majak Daw is feeling stifled by Hale Petrie and Pederson etc?
Confidence is a wonderful thing Leysy. Something he clearly didnt have over at Windy Hill. Its taken Houli a few games to settle in a the Tigers but he is now showing why Hird was so desperate to keep him.Leysy Days said:Whilst everyone around him is fumbling this guys ball handling has been exceptional the past 2 games.
Really stepped up in games his team has lost. Didnt think he could do that.
Contrary to leysy's thoughts is proving to be an excellent pickup. Good on him.
