I think he is getting a lot of it now because Shed and Stacky have really picked up the defensive intensity and creative rebound. Bashar can now take off with even less worry about defensive duties.
To give him some credit and picking up on Jack's comments his running was very impressive in that handball chain play that ended up in a Lynch goal. He handballs at half back and then sprints forward around the back to actually get a handball receive from Flossy from memory running through the centre circle.
Interestingly Champion data had him playing a below par game for Houli and he dropped in the ratings.
I must say I fell off the chair when they announced him BOG as did my Essendon companion and I scurried to see how much ball he got. i was surprised it was 37.
I thought he started very well but in the middle of the game he was poor in contested stuff and as usual a 50/50 result after a Houli possession is counted as a win in the Lamby household.

I dont get seduced by disposals, and gave baker BOG for his work rate,
but Bachar really is the best half back flanker in the business right now.
Whitfield uses it better (he's as good by foot as any ive ever seen),
but doesn't read it, sag off and intercept like Bachar.
I thought Bachar could be one whose game was affected post Rance, but he seems to be getting better?

So they often don't equal each other But yes in the case of Houli I believe he did do most of the kickouts from behinds. Regardless he was my BOG, and both coaches believed so too.

Whereas watching live and before announcements I said to colleagues at the game:
3) Houli
2) Dusty
1) Titch
All in the eye of the beholder, have pretty much been a Bachar fan in his time at Richmond which I know is at odds with most here on PRE ;D

He certainly played on from a few kick-outs, whether it was 12 I'm not sure. He also took at least one free kick from a deliberate or out on the full - perhaps that's neither contested nor uncontested in the wisdom of Champion Data?easy said:have we confirmed this? interesting.

Why, e,t! Perish the thought! The AFL is above corruption!easy said:If play-on Kickouts attract a disposal,
there's surely bookies disposal markets to be exploited?

There's also a reason why players are chosen to kick in from a behind - because they are good at it, and coaches feel they add value to the team by doing it. They have to make the right decision and execute just like any other disposal.
