Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Well done Bash.

Now in Dreamtime history, we have the 1st indigenous player to win the award and the 1st ex-Bummer to win it. ;D

As a mate of mine said at the game, “gee he’s playing well for a bloke who hasn’t eaten all day”. Getting better with age. A star.

Such a tremendously important player for us. Will not be easily replaced. Elite talent.
Love how he backs himself to win the footy, at times doesn’t seem to respect his opponent

Despite his 2017 heroics I was expecting his powers to decline and race Grigg into retirement... As others have said he might be in career best form. Hopefully he stays sound and I shouldn't be ages ist he could still have three more years in him.

Made one classic Bash error last night, but now what does he do, runs head first back into fray to correct it. Gone to another level.

He was already good, but he’s taken it to a new level this year, and he’s one of our most experienced at present with the injuries.

One or two brain fart efforts last night, that toe poke out on the full n a spoil into the half forward corridor but apart from that he's had a massive game last night. Probably worked himself to exhaustion by late in the game, was a bit scratchy in he last qtr but he had about twenty team mates that had dropped into cruise mode n left holes everywhere for Essendrugs.

37 possies. The Essendon seagull started like a rocket, but wound up with 26.

One thing that we could always say about Bachar is that he is a fantastic player in wet weather. For some reason he has always excelled in the wet

definite to stay in 2020, and open question after that.
The dropoff can happening quickly and last year had old man injuries.
But Bach prepares himself so well and with his wise head its a big possibility
