Simple really but he is a liability and so is the coach that puts politics before form – it will be found out on the field!

Short allowed Houli to focus on purely being a runner and attacker which he was doing brilliantly before the suspension. When he went out Short was trying to not only be lock down defender but also that run and carry link man and it didn't work as well for him.
yep, its between his ears. has the ability imo, should not have missed those 2 set shots. Even the one he got the wind brought it back inTigaman said:Gets the ball & craps himself.
I think they expected Short to play the role,he just didn't take his oppurtunity, I think Houlis role is not as easy as some would have you believe, the amount of footy Houli gets is not just by bludging out the back ,it's by covering big territory and running hard, no doubt Houli was poor yesterday and some of his kicking and fumbles are bloody frustrating, however Short, Markov and others have simply not earnt Houlis spot yet.Broders said:If Short was allowed to play Houli's role, not a hybrid version but pure link man and attacking run off the wing then we'd be a much better side. Short's a tremendous kick, isn't afraid to win his own footy and doesn't panic when the heat comes.
Houli has been serviceable since crossing from Essendrugs but it's time to blood a successor, one that brings more to the table than Houli ever has.

It's so disheartening to know what will happen with Houli in a pressure game and they keep on picking him and the hive mind just keep on accepting it and worse supporting it.
