Bachar Houli - بشار حولي,

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

Where does this theory that he is an 'elite' kick come from?
He's shocking.
Give me Short any day.

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

As a long-time Bachar supporter, today finally brought it home to me. In the 70's he would've been ruthlessly shovelled off to another club in search of something better, but today's system makes him so much harder to replace. So we've got little option but to persist for maybe one more year of the good and the bad, shitting the bed in pressure situations.

Short ain't the answer I'm afraid. Been reported in VFL today.

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

Woeful today. Just shocking. Those two sodas he missed after getting 50m penalties  Just killed us. You could see how nervous he was taking the shots. He is very fragile mentally. Not the type you want in the heat of finals.

How many times does he panic and handball to a team mate in worse spot and put him immediately under pressure. Or miss a simple target.

Found out in a big game yet again. Needs to be upgraded. Prefer Short.

Have been reading posts like this after big games for years.
Your right of course, but nothing will change.
Houli will keep serving up the same performances in big games, and Hardwick will keep on penciling in his name, week after week.
September here we come.

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

The quintessential 'glass half full' type. Has elite run & endurance for AFL but sheizen decision making and composure. Was horrible today.

too many

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

Has form when the heat goes on and the pressure is applied.

Has always been this way, thats why Knights never played him, he didnt rate him it was no secret.

Its why ive never been a fan and have never changed my opinion of him.

One recruit i did not want at the Tigers, that said i didnt want Grigg either.

These two have given me more rage attacks than Mc Calamity ever did admittedly Mc Calamity gave the odd spot of levity.

wasn't good today. and abysmal on the set hots, the one he kicked was a fluke. they were all sodas, he kicks all 3 we probably win.

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

Was absolutely appalling today. Turned it over and missed two sodas. That handball to the player stationary, facing away from goals was enough to make me scream.

Re: Bachar "Welcome Back Bacher" Houli

WTF is with his set shots? inexcusable from an experienced player.. I'd give him 1 missed soda, wouldn't be happy but I'd take it, but 2? And never looked like it, not even close.

Good man and all, it is time for RFC to be looking beyond Houli. Has been really serviceable at times, yet seems to succumb to pressure all too much. Rarely stands up in big games and performs ... certainly not consistently. Along with a few others, is likely to be a liability come September.

Houli is an AFL politically correct, multi-social PR wet dream that is not lost on the Richmond hierarchy and that is why, irrespective of how poorly he plays, he’s a walk-up start every week.

Simple really but he is a liability and so is the coach that puts politics before form – it will be found out on the field!

Do you actually believe this?

I guess that's why Lin Jong gets a game each week now he AFL are trying to attract the Chinese market....right? All about the cultural inclusiveness

I wouldn't be against Houli being dropped BTW. Give Short the last 2 games to show something for a finals spot!

*smile* footballer
Would've been gone 7 years ago if it wasn't for the retirement village at punt return.
Killed all momentum with his 2nd *smile* weak miss.
How many easy shots has he missed this year?
Get Rid of him
