Parrott sucking his lips with excitement speaking to Staker and Hall sitting together. What a prick. They used Houli's case to gain some ratings.

Wonder if Front Bar beat the Footy Show. I was with Sam Peng and co. Only downside was Chris "I am not going into media when I retire" Judd was a guest.

And what you have just said has nothing to do with what I said.

I remember Brereton lining up Des Ryan off the ball and sending him off unconscious on a stretcher (minutes after Czerkaski's jaw was broken). Brereton was found not guilty, with Tribunal head Simon Madden saying "I'm wary of making it into a wishy-washy game". Yet the current lot can't be trusted to hand down a carefully-considered penalty.

Henwood/McIntosh/Neitz, give it away fellas. Your reputations have been shredded.

The history of the AFL tribunal is littered (recently and in times gone by) with cases that have caused a lot head scratching. Littered! It's a talking point every single year. And every single year there is at least one case that stands out that makes people stand up and ask for a better system and more consistency. Every - single - year.

And yet this is the first time in their HISTORY, that they have appealed their own panel's decision. The only time they have EVER appealed. They were so incensed over this case that they went through this whole process in order to achieve just extra two weeks. How can that be described as manifestly inadequate? In context of all those other cases, how can it be?

To buy into your conspiracy theory of everyone agin us (which I don't, but it's fun to do so), I add this (with tongue in cheek). This morning on the abc, Gil is talking to Red Syomns and Gerard Whately for his tips. Port v tigers he gives this backhanded compliment. "Tigers are better than everyone would want to admit'. It's the addition of the words 'everyone' and 'want' that got me.

BTW - LOVE your new avatar!! :)

Thats what gets me. As we've been saying, there is usually 1-3 cases a year when people go 'what the hell?'. Even by analysis that is generous to the AFL, by the standard of those routine WTH cases, this wasn't an outlier. To appeal for the first time in a century, you would expect the case to be an outlier, an extreme outlier even. But its the AFL, logic, consistency, clear ethics, transparency, none of that features.

Yeah X2 on L2s avatar. 8-

Never hit these heights before but I wonder if there is another AFL body, maybe the AFL Supreme, that the AFL body can appeal to against themselves for appealing against the AFL tribunal's decision which was passed on by the AFL MRP who were too scared (or not allowed) to make a decision on what should have been an open and shut case. Maybe AFL need to drug test themselves as there's been some very peculiar happenings going on.

The AFL Stonecutters.

At the end of the decision making, Number One declares "And now, let's all get drunk and play ping pong!"

Well done Bachar for knocking out the cheating scum. Let's see if he tries to scrag you next time. Time for some more unsociable tigers to step up and show we mean business. There needs to be more of this from our players. We need to be feared again.

Its been pointed out in reply to yourself before that it wasn't behind play.

If the ball was more than 5 Mt. away then it is behind play.

Re: Bachar "The Nice Guy" Houli

I've never thought the AFL have it in for us. That makes no sense as we draw so well. It's just that they are completely spineless, particularly under their current leader Gil.

The issue is the media. They HATE Richmond and love us failing as it adds to the 30 odd years of our 'stuff ups and infighting'. The media revel on this. If we find success, what do they then write about, after all , if we draw huge crowds, we also sell papers. You just have to read post game reports, even when we've had decent wins, they will always find a negatice angle on us. Every pre season they build us up and build us up, but then at the end of the story is the consequences if we "fail yet again"! They are setting in place the framework for the story before it's unfolded.

The problem with Gil is that he just isn't a leader, which you'd typically think of as an Alpha Male type. If Gil was in prison, he'd be so far down the alpha order, the line behind him in the shower would include about 3 or 4 vowels
So when the media circus comes to town whose the one scared of the clowns, oh that would be Gil

Unsociable tigers. It's time.

Try cheating and scragging again and you'll find yourself in nap time.

I agree Harry.

Its time.

Port will try and intimidate us. Make no mistake. From players to the ferals in the stands.

Agree big time. May as well be disliked for a reason, as if playing some decent footy wasn't enough.

I reckon that unsociable edge is the difference in us winning three extra games this year, we need to be uncompromising. Kicking straight for goal wouldn't hurt either ...

All the top teams have it. Houli was aggressive in the North game also and I reckon he's better for it. Just unlucky in this instance. Lamb reminds me of this video game.
