Assistant Coach Wish List

Is this a wish list, prediction or all of the above?

My wish list would not contain the name Terry Wallace anywhere near it ;)

It's a prediction, other than Andy Collins which is a wish.

So it's a bit of both. ;D :spin

Fair enough Tigerbob. Looks alright, though I don't think Royal would go and Wallace stay. Miller is one thing but for Wallace to loose his right hand man, he would well and truly spit in March's eye I would think.

Archer is a interesting call, may I ask what makes you think that? Heard anything or just a instinct?

I have no idea about Archer's true motivations or interests but always got the impression he had no respect for Richmond, his on record as saying he always felt when playing us that we were a selfish side. His certainly quick to stick the boot in with us too along with Brereton and co.

Nothing to do with this but I heard today on radio that Archer had turned down a role at WCE. Wasn't recently, was this year though. I think he might have been there first option, then Colbert. Between the knockbacks and loosing Voss, they are doing well lol.

As I said, nothing to do with this discussion. Archer might just not want to go interstate...isn't he on the North board now? Or did he decline?

Always been a big fan of Archer, on and off the field, just think he is out of his depth in the media.

Royal's out of contract which is worth noting as well DD.

Wow. I didn't know that. Suprises me because I thought he would be in like a package tied up with Wallace, they seem inseparable :p

That does change things...intriguing.

Cheers Leysy!

The reason I suggest Archer is I know he would be interested in a Victorian Assistant coaching job in a part time capacity, said so himself in an article. ;D

A tough guy, who has universal respect in the AFL would be a great mentor for the kids. Look at the Scott Brother's who are doing really well in that department.

Also about Royal, don't expect him here next season.......

Assistant Coach Wish List.

Easy!
Would love Kane Johnson to be given an opportunity as assistant coach.

Established natural leader amongst the playing group.
Well respected.
Natural transition from playing career.

You're just coming up with cunning ways to get Suger off our playing list Phantom! (joking... :hihi )

I've been suggesting this for some time and agree he would be a perfect choice.

We agree on nothing but Andy Collins - snap ;D

FWIW read a paragraph about Royal in the Property section of The Age 2-3 weeks ago.

From memory he'd either sold his house in Brighton (mansion by the look of it) or was putting it on the market.

Coincidence or conspiracy?

Voss is a total nob and will never coach at AFL level.
He will be found out in his assistant role with the weagles as totally *smile*.
Was a great fooballer but has not got the brains for a coaching role.

Ouch! ;D

Lets hope that our Assistant's list contains Craig McCrae.

With Voss at Brissie its a fair chance that Craig will be chased to go north.

We need his brains and methods at Tigerland to continue our march up the ladder.

We just recently locked him up for another two years.

Well that's good news.
Where/when was this announced Westy?
It gets a bit hard to find things out from the club at times (unless they're leaked >:D) either that or I missed it in the papers.

It was mentioned on here Willo. It may have also been on the RFC website.

Thats it March mentioned it on 3AW the other week when he gave the team 5/10.

If I recall it wasn't long after Voss signed with WC ;)

Good oh. thanks for that.

Would be happy if Royal wasn't re-contracted and glad that McRae has been signed up for an extra two years.

Signs are pointing in the right direction at the RFC these days.

Yup, can second Western's confirmation. I understood the same, I didn't hear the March interview but understood March mentioned it.

I am 90% sure I read it in the Herald Sun, in one of those March/Wallace debacle interviews. The point/context were things were stable, we even resigned McCrae for 2 years.

For what it's worth Hypoxic, Voss is sniffing around Scott and G. Brown at Collingwood as assistants as he highly rates them. Pert says he had a conversations with them recently that gave him no impression they were going though (not sure if that means anything though :p).

I'd love to have Scott at Punt Rd, very highly regarded as a Coach. Unlike his brother (at Fremantle).
