Assistant Coach Wish List

i'd go with Bondy, but forget campbell. he wouldnt have the respect.

Maybe you are right.
Probably needs another year or two away from the club until the last of the old guard departs.
Still think he would have a bit to offer.

I know I said Richmond Peson, but Campbell and Bond would be good assistant coaches. Both have had good apprenticing under different coaches so they would have lots of different ideas to bring to the table.

Problem RFC have is do they themselves wish to come back?

I think these two will be excellent

Whoever can give us system, hardness and professionalism a la Neil Craig.

Hardwick definitely

Get Andy Collins back from West Adelaide

Glenn Lazarus or another strong ex-Melbourne Storm-type for some toughness and a different perspective

Whilst he is a bit of a 'forgotten man' (yes, by me) I would be very happy if Andy Collins came back as an assistant at Punt Rd. Don't think the Bloods would be too happy to let him go though.

Yes Andy Collins would make an exellent assistant coach. He was a hard player and would and I think Richmond has a lot of respect for him and would have a good relationship because of our affiliation with Coburg.

How's he going in South Aust?

Buckley & Darcy would be nice, but neither have played in a flag, so balance that out with Scott & Hardwick
David King has played in a flag and was a tough defender too, interesting that some seem keen for him to go, not sure why

I don't want anyone back who was a player when we were *smile*

Just found out Alan Richardson out of contract at end of this year.

Done a super job with collingwoods kids.

March did say we would probably be bringing in someone to support McRae in Player Development.

Hmmmmm.

Cant do any worse than Robert Hyde[Ex Calder Cannons].Not sure what he,s doing these days.

Let's get Usain Bolt in as sprinting coach. This bloke can do anything. I reckon he could even get cement legs Holland to run quick.

It's been nagging me for weeks.

I've got no inside goss, or heard any whispers or any such talk.

But I have a strong gut instinct Campbell will be back at Punt Rd next year.

Providing he doesn't have a contract.

I mean, surely while clubs are happy to let assistants go for senior roles they would not be so keen to let a coach go to another club midterm for another assistant role surely?

Does anyone know if Campbell is on a contract at Bullies next year? I have a feeling he went to the Bullies this year...can someone confirm?, if so he's probably on a 2yr deal then, which I would say would rule my hunch out. :(

Might be in the running for a senior job at the end of next year. Mid year takeover anyone?

If Terry Wallace stays;

COACH: Terry Wallace
ASSISTANTS: David King, Wayne Campbell, Craig Lambert
DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR: Craig McRae
DEVELOPMENT COACHES: Glenn Archer, Andy Collins (VFL COACH), Kane Johnson

If he doesn't either Damian Hardwick or Nathan Buckley coach.

Is this a wish list, prediction or all of the above?
