Good. I mean, is he still the Herald-Suns chief football writer?
He is a *smile* stain in comparison to Mike Sheehan - who i disliked, but acknowledge was a very good journo.
Jon Ralph is the twitter version of a Journo. 200 words, but doesn't actually say much but fill the air with *smile* that's
been said 1000 times before. He has no insight into the football world, and is purely a post box between the people
who say stuff and the public. I recall them talking about him on radio, and they called him truck or something like that.
Because he's always backing up on his opinion when it gets challenged. They mocked him. With good reason.
I hope he's reading this, and reallises he'd be better in a marketing department. He Bradbury'd his way into his role.

He gave the impression he'd be a far different coach with full control, which I wouldn't have minded seeing, to an interim coach staying within preset parameters.
I think the nature of the losses to the Bulldogs & St Kilda might have tipped the scales against him.
In his defense ,being a high profile football journalist doesn't get you too many fans .
Caro probably gets her fair share of angst from football fans.

Probably the report that Caro went with saying Ahem would be announced at a presser today. I would be surprised if the club issued the official announcement without letting Mini know.
That's an unfortunate way to find out. Like being dumped via word of mouth. You'd expect a text at the very least.
There's a difference between having an opinion, one that potentially gets people off side (Sheehan, Wilson, Whateley) because they're raising a difficult topic and being someone who just adds words.
I don't think Ralph breaks stories. I don't think he adds anything new to the conversation. He just states the obvious or repeats what is already in the public domain.
If he came out and said the AFL should give West Coast draft concessions, here's my argument as to why (for example)...I'd think he was nuts. It's only 4 years since a flag. But at least he'd be arguing a new point. He doesn't try do that though imo.

Normal practice is to inform the unsuccessful candidate prior to notifying the successful candidate to avoid the kind of malarkey we are being accused of.
I simply do not believe that Benny would have made such an elementary mistake and in so doing being disrespectful to Mini. Especially when he knew the media would be all over it in their habitual race to break the story first, even when all the facts aren’t fully known.
