Alex Rance

Was excelent again today, tonight on sen they were raving about him! Not just an improved prospect but now must be considered a "very very good backman"

His rate of improvement this year has been phenomenal, some of us predicted it too. :D
I feel very comfortable when he gets the ball now.
He is top 3 in my B&F calculations along with Cotch and Lids.

Have really been impressed by him this season. Great game from him tonight. Especially in the first quarter.
Really needs a partner in crime back there though.

Improvingl, but still gave at least 2 goals away from simple errors.

Dropped a chest mark, then spilled the ball in a tackle and Sylvia goaled.
Minutes later, fumbled the ball, Sylvia picks up, Rance trips in an attaempted tackle, gifting Sylvia another goal.

On track to reach AA level one year maybe, but not yet.

Massive impover to say the least , like the fact he plays on all types now an also helps his team mates out as well......love seeing a man in the Kellaway/Archer courage bracket

Always had hopes for him, but he cas come on faster than i was expecting.. Massively improved player, and his best quality is that he is a true leader, he leads and gives confidence to all the other backmen. With him, cotch and jack leading their respective parts of the ground things are looking good for us.

Rance is kamikaze.

So was Post yesterday. Attack on the ball was first rate.

Watts is the type of player who should give Rance trouble but he didn't fire a shot. Rance monstered him in every contests.

The thing I really like is he is kamikaze going the other way, runs just as hard.

Is quickly becoming a dominant fullback. Astounding improvement. Another 3 months of this in 2012 and he is gonna be in Scarlett/Glass land.

This is the thing I love about Rance, he works as hard both ways, some of our guys need to take a leaf out of his book. He leaves nothing in the tank when he comes off at the end of a game.

Watts and many others would not like playing on Alex as he has no fear. When there is a contest his opponent knows he is going to go full bore and hang the consequences which is disconcerting for the more refined players in the league.

Passage of play that I liked although he buggered it up was holding the ball whilst running down the wing not releasing until there was an option.

Showed maturity as last year he would have sprayed it everywhere.

And was so good on Watts they needed to move Watts to the backline and as far away from Rance as they could!
It was interesting that the Foxtel pregame show had a big session of dissection and interviews on the Reiwoldt v. Frawley battle. Similar size, same draft etc.

Turns out the telling contest was Rance v. Ms. Watts - similar size age, draft etc.

We won that contest easy. :)
