Yep Post was good too for the most part.
Needs to get his fitness up to where Rance is though. He can't go as hard all game like Alex can yet.

I like Posty but the change to Webberely was a good one yesterday. Posty played as a floating tall a bit and really got caught out in no mans land a lot.

A learning experience though. When he had a play on the ball he was quite good which is a massive change and relief from the Mcguane capers.

Is quickly becoming a dominant fullback. Astounding improvement. Another 3 months of this in 2012 and he is gonna be in Scarlett/Glass land.
A couple of oustanding brave acts last night.
And continued improvement with his general skills.
His development is a really good story and credit to those who have helped him and/or who stuck by him.
I admit that I didn't think he could be as good as he's been this year.

1 day the media muppets apart from finey will realise how good rance will be.Still a lot of improvement to come from our rancey l think

if rance improves next season by 20-30% he will be all australian contention.
Has come on in superb fashion, hope he gains the confidence this season to know he can match it with any tall in the league, well done son keep it up.....

He is fearless all right.

Loved that kamikaze run at the defender who was about to tackle him at CHF. Oops, someone's in my way, quick, get the handball in, should I go left, right maybe, no stuff it, straight through and over the top for good measure.

I also loved his sledging of Jurrah after both he and Post smothered that knee-trembling attempt at a mark early. Jurrah had no stomach for the contest after a couple of hits and a few well chosen insults from Rance. Every kick he had after that was when running away from his man.

Alex would make a good Green Lantern.

Imagine if Dylan Grimes's early season promise is no illusion...

Agreed Rance and Grimes and then all we need is one of Post/Astbury to come good. Post looks promising if he builds his tank and gets a little quicker.

The other thing to like about Rance is that he isn't physically intimidated by anyone and loves to dish out the rough stuff when required to anyone

I don't think I've been able to say this about a Richmond full back since Scotty Turner.

A good reward for his effort and good to see the club offering reasonable extension, not 3-5 yrs like they have in the past. At this rate Alex will double his value in 2 years anyway if he keeps up the improvement we have seen over the last 12 months. Well done Alex. Good to see him acknowledge the efforts of Leppa in the article as well.

Well done Rancey. Has gone from my most despised player to one of my favourites. That spoil in the 1st quarter against Melbourne was monstrous. Beautiful to watch, and I'm proud he's a Tiger.

Tough, courageous, athletic and increasingly skillful.

His improvement has been unbelievable. Deserves the contract extension and we are lucky to have him commit.

Good news.

Indeed. He has changed the way I look at bigger blokes. A running, powerful, fearless defender is something that every club would want.

Can see Jayden Post following the same path in 2012. But great news, another piece of the puzzle locked away.

Rance still has a long way to go but has more upside than McGuane, Thursty etc...

His current style of play reminds me a lot of an early Silvagni. Let's hope he continues to improve and masters himself to a Silvagni style.
